Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Apply for Remote Pilot License (REPL), the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. Find a reputable training organization that offers RePL courses approved by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
3. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “Create your myCASA account” button.
4. Enter the email ID and click the “Verify email address”
5. Enter the verification code which is sent through the given email and click the “Verify Code”.
6. Now create a password and click the “Next” button.
7. The applicant has to sign in with the user name and password and click the “Sign In” option.
8. The applicant has to select the application form from the menu list.
9. Enter all the details in the application form.
10. Upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
11. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee in online mode.
12. The applicant has to review the details and click the “Submit” button.
13. After receiving the document set, the concerned authority will check the submitted letter and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
14. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
15. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
16. The applicant has to login in portal.
17. Navigate to “Licences and authorizations” in your myCASA account and Select Remote pilot license (RePL).
18. Select to download to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
19. Read through the guidance on using the digital license.
20. Select the “Add to Apple Wallet” or “Save to phone” button.
21. The license will then load into your Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
22. This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) in Australia, you must meet the following requirements:
