Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for a Phytosanitary certificate, Applicant shall approach the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section.
  2. You have to submit an Application form to the Contacting Officer at the Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment.
  3. Application form can be found on the following link: Link , scroll down, the application form is listed under forms section.
  4. Download the application form and fill up your details.
  5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Document” section of this page.
  6. The applicant should present the duly filled application form and documents to the Officer in charge at the Department of Agriculture.
  7. After the application is processed, the Applicant has to pay the fee as prescribed by the officer.
  8. The Inspector visits the Applicant’s premises and inspects the shipment destined for export.
  9. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

  2. Applicant has to Register as an Exporter on the Export Documentation System(EXDOC)
  3. Registration form can be found on the following link:Link
  4. Download the form and fill up your details.
  5. The applicant has to email the duly filled form to the EXDOC helpdesk, Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section.
  6. Once the registration form is processed, exporter users will be issued with a unique exporter number and can now have permits and other documents requested and issued in their name on the EXDOC System. Link
