Assam - Online Apply for Certificate of Identification (COI)
Apply Online via PSK ( E-form submission)
- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to apply for COI (Via PSK)
- Step 2 : Download the E-form from the following link: Download
- Step 3 : Fill up the form completely and click on the “I Agree” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image and then click ‘Validate and Save’ button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image. Doing so will generate an XML file, which you will be required to upload in the portal later.

- Step 4 : Applicants must visit the official website of the Passport Seva Kendra to apply for the Certificate of Identification: Apply Online
- Step 5 : If you are a existing user click the ‘Existing User Login’ Button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image. If you are a new user, click on the ‘New User Registration’ button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.
- Step 6 : Fill up all the details and click on the ‘Register’ button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.
- Step 7 : Now enter your user ID and click “Submit” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.
- Step 8 : Once you successfully registered yourself, on the dashboard click on the ‘Existing user login’ button to log-in to your account which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.
- Step 9 : Now login using your Id and click “Continue” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.
- Step 10 : Now enter your User name, Password and characters displayed and click “Login” Button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.
- Step 11 : Click on the ‘Apply for Identity Certificate’ on the dashboard which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.
- Step 12 : Then click on the ‘Click here to download the soft copy of the form’ which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.
- Step 13 : Next, upload the already filled XML form, upload all the required documents and then click on the ‘upload’ button.
- Step 14 : After uploading the form, the payment portal will open. Make the payment to complete the registration process
. - Step 15 : You will need to take out the print out of the application form after submitting it. For the printout, click on the ‘Saved/Submitted Application’ tab on the dashboard and then on the ‘View/Print Submitted Form’. Once the application form opens up, click on the ‘Print’ button.
- Step 16 : You will receive a confirmation SMS on your registered mobile number once the payment is successful.
- Step 17 : After the authorities verify the submitted form and the documents, you will receive another SMS on your registered mobile number stating the date and time on which you need to visit the PSK.
- Step 18 : On receiving the SMS, visit PSK on the asked date and time with the original documents and the print out of the application form.
- Step 19 : On the day of reporting, the concerned authorities will verify all the original documents.
- Step 20 : Once all the above procedures are successfully completed, you will be given a receipt. Keep the receipt safe and wait till you receive any further information from the PSK.
- Step 21 : You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number, once your application is processed and the certificate is printed and ready for dispatch.
