Residents of Assam could check for their name in the electoral list through the following procedure.
Check Online - Check or Verify Name (Voter ID) in Voter List (Electoral List) Online with Images
- You could check or verify your name in the electoral list by entering your details or by entering your EPIC No. In the given link: Electoral Search
- If you have your Voters Id card with you, you can easily check for your name using your EPIC Number.
- To use this mode of verification, select the “Search by EPIC No.” tab. Enter your EPIC No., select your state and click on “Search”. The portal will display your name if it is available.
- If you do not have your EPIC No., select the “Search by Details” tab. Enter your name, father’s name, age/Dob, gender and select your state, district or locate your location in the given map. To locate your place through this method, click on “Select locate on map” and enter your location or select your location on the map.
- After entering the details, write down the captcha text and click on “Search”. The portal will display your name if it is available. This method might fail to work in case of minor spelling mistakes.
- If the search results display your name, you are eligible to vote.
- If the webpage fails to display your details after searching through both the methods, this indicates that your name is missing from the voter's list and you will have to register again.
Check In-Person: Electoral Booth or Electoral Office
- To check or verify your name in the electoral list in-person visit the concerned electoral booth or electoral office.
- You can also know your Booth Officer by entering your EPIC No. In the given link: Know Your BLO
- Reach out to the electoral officer and request to check for your name in the voter’s list by providing your details.
- Make sure to carry your original Id proofs with you.
- If your name is listed you will be considered to vote in the upcoming election or you will have to register yourself for the same.
Check In-Person: Common Service Centers
- To check or verify your name in the electoral list in-person visit the nearest Common Service Center.
- You can locate your nearest CSC download the “CSC Locator” Mobile application from the given link: CSC Locator. Open the application and enter your name and phone number to login. From the given mode of searches select your preferred mode of search to locate your nearest center.
- On reaching the CSC, reach out to the CSC officer and request to check for your name in the voter’s list by providing your details.
- Make sure to carry your original Id proofs with you.
- If your name is listed you will be considered to vote in the upcoming election or you will have to register yourself for the same.

InstructionsEdit
- Make sure to check your name in the voter’s list at least 10 days before the elections so that any error could be rectified beforehand. Changes will not be allowed when the elections are about to begin.
- Before checking your name in the electoral list, please make sure that you have registered for a Voter Id.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- Having a voter Id alone does not make a person eligible to vote during an election. A person will only be allowed to vote if they have their name listed in the electoral list.
- In some cases, a citizen’s name might not be displayed in the electoral list even if he/she has been already registered. For this reason, it is always advisable to check if the with the electoral list for your name before an upcoming election so that changes could be made beforehand.

- Even if you do not have your voters Id after registering, you could vote by showing your Aadhaar card if your name is in the voter’s list.
- You might not receive the voters slip before an election if your name has been removed from the voter’s list.
