Procedure

APPLY IN-PERSON:

1. To apply for agriculture electricity connection in person visit ELECTRICITY BOARD OFFICE in your respective area
2. The address and contact details of the office can be found in ‘’Office and Contact Details” section of this page
3. Visit the Office and get the Application form for Agricultural Electricity Connection from the relevant department or you can download the application form from the following link: Link
4. Please fill the application with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant along with all the partner’s signature
5. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned
6. Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials or you can find the required fee in “Fee Details” section of this page
7. And your application and attached documents will be passed for verification to check if the land and area is eligible for the type of connection proposed
8. After successful registration, an acknowledgement mentioning the registration number and date of registration will be given to the applicant
9. Now, concerned officials will approve the application and orders will be issued.

1. To apply for agricultural electricity online, visit the following link: Link
2. On the opened page click the ‘new connection’ category
3. Now choose your applied category as 51- LT VII AGRICULTURE
4. Enter the applied load in kw for the agriculture connection. To view allowed load of electricity visit the link- Link
5. Now fill the consumer details correctly
6. Provide the address of the Agricultural land for which the connection is to be made,
7. Enter your Mobile number, PAN number, and aadhar number without error
8. Now you will be seeing a 4 yes or no type questions, please read the questions and click on the correct option patiently
9. Now upload your files not exceeding 100MB ,for Identity Proof, Residential address proof, Proof of the legal occupation of the premises, Test report from electrical contractor/ supervisor,and latest passport size photograph of the applicant (in jpeg/png format only) (OR) Refer “Required documents” section of this page
10. Now give your declaration by clicking on the small square under declaration
11. Once all the data’s are entered, Kindly check once and click on the Verify button
12. If all your required fields are filled correctly, Submit button will be viable now. Click on the submit button.
13. Now application warning will pop up on your screen, if you are confident enough on all the information provided, click on Submit or you can also review once and come back to submit the application
14. Enter the OTP sent to your Mobile number
15. Now make the payment as per the page prompt option and hit “pay now” to reach payment gateway page and complete payment.
16. Once the payment is made, a transaction reference number will get generated. Keep it safe.
17. With the transaction number user can obtain acknowledgement receipt.
18. This submitted application will be processed further. Notification from department (through SMS or over phone) for further process will reach applicant
19. Applicant shall go to the respective office with the printout of application along with other documents and follow the guidelines to get the connection.

Required Documents

• Completed Application form
• Proof of ownership (Sale deed, katha, succession certificate, sanctioned plan from local authority.)
• Indemnity Bond as per format supplied by the electricity company, if you are not the owner of the premises
• No objection certificate (NOC) from the owner(If the applicant is tenant or lessee)
• Proof of permanent residential address (Ration card, PAN, telephone Bill, Insurance policy bond, voters identity card etc.)
• Clearances for establishment from the Pollution Control Board concerned where applicable residential / residential-cum-commercial premises of more than 100 flats)
• Self- certification for electrical installation of the premises of the consumer for which new connection is being applied for or the test results duly signed by the licensed Electrical Contractor
• Requisite Earnest Money as advised
• Proof of occupation or ownership of a premises through any one of the documents (Passport / Voter Identity Card / Rent Bill / Telephone Bill / Municipal or any other Tax Bill / Ration Card / Certificate from Panchayat)
• The detailed list of electrical equipment’s with number and corresponding wattages
• For LV & MV consumers, a sketch of new line required for service connection showing the premises from existing LV & MV line is required to be submitted by the intending consumer. (licensed electrical contractor will be helpful)
• NOC from local administration (assessment and collection department - no due & litigation free)
• NOC from respective department for digging (if applicable)
• Test Certificate of metering equipment, if consumer supplies the same.
• Land Paper
• Aadhar Card
• Photograph of the applicant
• Contact number
• Consents / Authorizations / Approvals wherever applicable.
• Service Connection Agreement, if applicable.
• Consent of the owner of the property if the proposed service line has to pass through the property of some other persons

• All original and copy of original with self attestation as advised by respective authorities to submit as per requirement.
• Apart from the above documents authorities may ask to submit additional information or documents. Please provide them for processing.

Eligibility

• Any person who wishes to set up a new electricity connection in their agricultural land can apply.
• The shareholders of the land should possess a no objection certificate sworn before the Executive Engineer/Operation and Maintenance Office of the jurisdiction concerned.
• The certificate should be obtained after verification from the Village Administrative Officer.

Fees

Please contact your nearest Electricity Board for fee details.

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.

Processing Time
