Apply In-Person:

  1. Applicant who wants to apply for Aadhaar card must visit the General Administration Department.
  2. The office address and contact details are available below. Refer “Office Locations & Contacts” section. The details regarding contacts can be obtained from following link: Contact details.
  3. The applicant can obtain the application form to apply for Aadhaar card from the registrar.
  4. The applicant must make sure that they have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant must submit all the necessary documents along with the application form to the registrar (Deputy Commissioner of Police).
  6. There is no application fee to apply for Aadhaar card.
  7. Once the application form is submitted, the applicant must undergo biometric process which includes iris and fingerprint scanning.
  8. Once the biometric process is completed, an acknowledgment slip is given to the applicant containing the applicant’s application ID.
  9. The processing time usually takes about 90 days from the date of applying.
  10. Once the process is completed the applicant may receive an SMS to their registered mobile number.
  11. The applicant will receive the Aadhaar card through post to the address given in the application form.

Through Enrolment centres:

  1. Applicant has to locate an enrolment centre to apply. Online link for enrolment centre : Centre link
  2. Enrolment Centres of Aadhaar in state : Centre Please download the details as provided under “Downloads” session at the bottom.
  3. Book an Appointment for processing. Link for appointment : link for appointment
  4. With / without online appointment, applicant has to physically go to the AADHAAR card enrolment centre with required documents.
  5. Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
  6. Authority will process the details online as per the documents provided (operator would check whether this data is already available through different application)
  7. Applicant will be asked to get biometric scanning for finger print followed by Iris scanning and then Photograph session to complete the requirement for processing.
  8. Upon completion of above steps, Applicant will be issued with an acknowledgement receipt for future reference and the request will be processed further.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Aadhaar card is an initiative by the government to organize citizen.
  • Unique Identification Authority of India, issues this card. It is a 12 digit identity contains combination of numbers and alphabets.
  • Aadhaar card is mandatory in opening bank account.
  • Aadhaar card is useful in most of the application for obtaining voter id, ration card, pan card, Land registration, Driving license, Vehicle registration and more.
  • If in case your Aadhaar card is lost / damaged / misplaced, one has to apply for duplicate Aadhaar card
