To Change Address in vehicle registration certificate in Arunachal Pradesh the applicant has to approach the RTO office where the permit was obtained. Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices.

Make sure that all the required documents are in hand.
Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
Please submit the forms at the right counter. The officer at the counter will start processing your application
Physical verification of vehicle for chassis number will be carried. After verifying the submitted documents, officials will make the changes respectively.
The change of address will be made on the RC.

To change address for vehicles, the applicant has to visit the official portal of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways: Link to Portal
In the homepage, please scroll down to “Informational Services” and click on the “more” button in the “Citizen Guide” tab.
The applicant will be taken to the “Manual” page where all the available services will be listed.
Please click on the name of the required service and click on “Step by Step procedure” from the drop down menu.

Registration Certificate
Valid Insurance Certificate.
Affidavit sworn by the applicant before an Executive or First Class Judicial Magistrate or Notary public.
No-objection Certificate from the Financier if the vehicle is covered by Hire purchase Agreement/Hypothecation/Lease.
Proof of changed address. ( Ration card / Voter ID / LIC Policy)
Payment of green tax wherever applicable.

Any change in the address of the vehicle owner has to be intimated and obtain a copy of the registration certificate.
This change of address is required by the government bodies to intimate the permit holder for the dues, penalties or any intimation.
Vehicle registration's purpose is to establish clear ownership and to tax motorist or vehicle owners. It is a requirement by the state.
After registering his / her vehicle – He / She will receive a unique number to use it in number board.

One who wishes to sell his or her vehicle should make sure that the proper name transfer in RC is carried out.
FC (for clearance) is a process meant for reviewing the condition of the vehicle by the RTO authorities
