Apply In-Person
- To apply or renew Slaughter House License or Permit, please visit the FSSAI head office/ Village Panchayat/Municipal Corporation in your respective area. The address and contact details of the office can be found in the following link:

- Visit the Office and get the application form to apply or renew slaughter house license or permit from the relevant department, or you can download the application forms from the following FSSAI Form B link.
- Please fill the application form with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature.
- Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned to the application form.
- Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials. Please collect the acknowledgement slip for the paid fee. Keep it safe for future reference.
- Your application and attached documents will be sent for verification to check, if there is any discrepancy.
- After all the processes are completed, concerned officials will approve the application and proceed with the license issuance/ renewal process.
- Once the license is ready to be collected, office will inform the applicant to collect it through any applicable means.
Apply Online
- Visit the following portal: online portal.
- Enter Email-Id or Mobile Number and submit, a verification code (OTP) will be sent to the given Email-Id or Mobile Number. Enter the code and submit.
- Select the state from the drop down menu in the search box on the screen.
- Click on “Slaughtering Units), user can read the definition of all kinds of business under it and click on the radio button under it to proceed further.
- Fill all the mandatory fields as asked in the form visible on the screen.
- Now, click on “Save and Next” and upload the required documents.
- Upon submitting, the applicant will be redirected to the paying page.
- Pay the fee with available modes and submit the application.
- After successfully completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a 17-digit reference number which can be used for future reference.
- The applicant can track the status of application through the Homepage i.e. tracking portal by using the reference number.
- Regularly check the status and download the certificate when ready.

- List of Directors with full address and contact details (mandatory for companies only)
- Name and List of Equipment and Machinery along with the number, installed capacity and horse power used
- Photo I.D and address proof issued by the Government authority of Proprietor/Partner/Director(s)/Authorized Signatory- Copy of Pan Card/Aadhar card/ Voter id/ driving license
- Proof of possession of premises. (Sale deed/ Rent agreement/ Electricity bill, etc.)

EligibilityEdit
- Any person who wishes to set up a slaughter house can apply for FSSAI/ Village panchayatraj/ Municipal corporation license to run their business.
- The certificate should be obtained verification from the FSSAI Registration & Food Safety License for Meat Shop, India/ Executive Authority of respective area.

ValidityEdit
- FSSAI license is valid for a period of 1 to 5 years.
- It is mandatory to apply for license renewal 30 days before the expiry of the existing license.
