Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Particular Contract Carriage Permit in Arunachal Pradesh, the applicant will have to contact the Regional Transport Officer (RTO).
2. Please tap on the following link to view contact details: link.
3. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. An application form can be obtained upon visiting the Regional Transport Officer (RTO).
5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
6. Submit the application form with ”Required Documents” to the office.
7. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page.
8. Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, the applicant will be permitted for Particular Contract Carriage Permit.
9. Collect the carriage Permit from the respective office in a stipulated period of time.

1. To apply for particular contract carriage permit, the applicant has to visit the official portal of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways: Link to Portal
2. In the homepage, please scroll down to “Informational Services” and click on the “more” button in the “Citizen Guide” tab.
3. The applicant will be taken to the “Manual” page where all the available services will be listed.
4. Please click on the name of the required service and click on “Step by Step procedure” from the drop down menu.
5. The applicant will be taken to a new PDF page where the process for applying will be explained clearly.
6. Please follow the steps to complete the application.

For Grant

1. Registration Certificate Book in original form
2. Insurance in original form
3. No Objection Certificate issued by the STA
4. Two recent Passport size photograph of the owner
5. Photograph of Parking(with shed)
6. Parking area Certificate issued by any gazetted officer/Police Officer/Revenue authority of the area.
7. No objection certificate of the tenant if vehicle is intended to be parked on the land of the tenant other than the vehicle owner.
8. Recent copy of Form-F of the land housing the parking facility.
9. Photograph of parking place of vehicle depicting the parked vehicle along with number plate in front and rear view.
   
10. Aadhaar Card

For Renewal

1. Registration Certificate.
2. Insurance
3. Route permit Book, all in original.
4. Parking area certificate issued by any gazetted officer/Police Officer/Revenue authority of the area.
5. Recent copy of Map along with Form-F of the Land housing the parking facility.

Instructions

The applicant may approach the Office of the RTO Office who can guide you in the right direction.
The permit is valid for the period of 1 or 2 years. Temporary Permits and Special Permits will be issued for a limited period for the conveyance of passengers on special occasion such as Fairs, Religious Gatherings, Seasonal Business, Temporary need or pending decision of renewal of permit.

• Approximate seating capacity
• Particulars of service to be performed by the contract carriages (not necessary in case of a motor cab), and the manner in which it is claimed that the public convenience will be served
• Particulars of any stage carriage or contract carriage permit valid in the province held by the applicant

Contract Carriage Permit is the most common type of permit. The permit grants the holder the right to operate under a contract with his client for a specific destination, he cannot pick passengers other than those mentioned in the permit.
