Apply In-Person:
To apply for the family identity card approach the office of food and civil supplies department of your district or you can approach the ration office of your area.

  1. Application Form can be downloaded from the official portal of Directorate of Information and Public relation Arunachal Pradesh.
  2. Download the application form via following Application form link
  3. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
  4. Submit the form to the directorate of food and civil supplies office along with the required documents. More details about the office location is provided in the following Contact link
  5. Refer the directorate of food and civil supplies office location mentioned in the “Office location & contacts” section below.
  6. After the application form is processed, an enquiry officer will make a thorough verification regarding your address proof which you have submitted along with the form
  7. You will be receiving the acknowledgment slip after the successful verification.
  8. Collect your family identity card from the office after 2-3 weeks of submission.

Apply through Centres

  1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district link.
  2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre. Find the form on the following form link.
  4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
  5. Submit the application form with ”Required Documents” to the office.
  6. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  7. The operator will process the application online.
  8. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  9. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page and collect the receipt.
  10. The applicant will receive the acknowledgment slip after the successful verification.
  11. Collect the family identity card from the office after 2-3 weeks of application submission.

Following are the list of documents that has to be enclosed along with the application form to get the family identity card

  • Address Proof
  • Passport size photograph of family members
  • Deletion Certificate
  • An affidavit is required to prove that the applicant was not holding any ration card previously.
  • Aadhar Card.

Need for the DocumentEdit

For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Family Identity Cards (Ration Cards) are being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card.

Based on their economic condition, people can buy goods like food grains, sugar and kerosene with the help of their ration cards.

Types of ration card:

  • Antyodaya ration cards, issued to the poorest of the poor.
  • Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards.
  • Above Poverty Line (APL) cards.
