  • Complete your application. Armenian police departments and the Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have passport applications
  • Be aware the application must be filled out in English and Armenian.
  • Take your passport photos. You need two photos clearly showing your face against a neutral background
  • Submit your application with your birth certificate, two passport photos and notarized consent or military papers

Required DocumentsEdit

  • In the case of a first-time application, we require proof of citizenship such as an original birth certificate or original naturalization certificate.
  • Two 2"x 2" (5x5 cm) passport photographs showing a front view of the applicants face against a light background.
  • Completed passport application form
  • DS-11 for first-time adult applicants (16 years of age or older), and for cases in which the passport has been lost or stolen;
  • DS-11 for children under 16 years of age.

InstructionsEdit

If applying for a child under the age of 16, a parent should sign the application form on behalf of the child. At the time of application, the signing parents passport should also be submitted.

Applications for children under 16 years of age are accepted by the Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Armenian police department accepts applications for those 16 and over. Your fingerprints are taken to complete the application process.

Need for the DocumentEdit

Armenian Passports are issued to Armenian citizens to travel outside of Armenia. They are also used as proof of identity within the country.
A citizen who has no propiska certificate in Armenia is deprived from a passport.If a citizen has no place of residence or no place to be registered then he has no privileges as a citizen

Passport renewal means you must re-apply using the same steps above.
In 2010, the old Armenian passport was replaced with an identification card for use within the country and a biometric passport for international travel.
Only passports with a special seal, called the exit permit seal, on the fourth page are valid for travel outside Armenia
