EligibilityEdit
Arkansas driving records are governed by Arkansas code section 27-50-901 et. Seq. The statutes are more restricted in the release of information than the Federal Privacy Protection Act.
Your driving records are confidential documents, they can only be released under certain exceptions. The exceptions include when a release is given to you by others.

To obtain a driving record, you must sign the release form. Make sure that the form is dated and that it includes your name, driver's license number, date of birth and the name of the person whom the information is to be released to.
Note: This release will remain in effect for 5 years, unless you file a written withdrawal.
- There are two types of Driving Record: Insurance Record and Commercial Record.
- An insurance record is a 3-year history of your driving violations, accidents, DUIs, and associated points. It is most commonly used by drivers and insurance companies to check the status of points, accidents, and other issues that affect insurance premiums.
- A commercial record, also called an employment record, is a more complete driver history. It is often requested by employers of professional drivers.
- You can order driving records from the Arkansas DFA:
- Online.
- By mail.
- In person.
- The fees for your driving record will vary based on the type of record you order, as well as the method of ordering.
