Apply Online

  1. To Apply for Distillery License, the applicant must make the application online via link
  2. The applicant must click the “Apply Online” button.
  3. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant must click the “Register for an Account”
  4. Followed by clicking the “New Users: Register for an Account”
  5. Check the terms and conditions and click “Continue Registration”
  6. The applicant must enter all the details for the registration process and click the “Continue Registration”
  7. Enter the verification code from the given mail address and click the “Submit” button.
  8. Now the applicant must log in with the username and password and click the “Log in” button.
  9. The applicant must select the form from the menu list.
  10. Enter all the details in the application form.
  11. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  12. There is no fee for a Distillery License.
  13. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
  14. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  15. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  16. If TTB conducts an application inspection, the TTB investigator will visit the applicant's premises to determine if it is adequate for the planned operations, and interview the owners of the company to verify that the information contained in the application is accurate.
  17. The investigator will explain the TTB regulations for the operations, and answer any questions the applicant may have about their TTB responsibilities if their application is approved.
  18. Finally, the TTB investigator will recommend to the National Revenue Center whether to approve the application.
  19. Individuals involved in the winery, including owners and key staff, might need to undergo background checks as part of the licensing process.
  20. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  21. If the application is approved, the applicant has to ensure that they follow all regulations and requirements specified in the license.
  22. This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  1. To Apply for Distillery License, the applicant must approach the U.S Department of Treasury (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) link
  2. Before starting the application process, conduct thorough research on the regulations, requirements, and processes for Applying for a Winery License.
  3. Develop a comprehensive business plan that outlines the winery's operations, target market, products, and marketing strategies.
  4. Choose a suitable legal structure for the brewery, such as a corporation, LLC, or partnership. Register the business entity with the appropriate state agency.
  5. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. or it can be downloaded from the following link link
  6. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  7. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  8. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  9. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned office mailing address.

  11. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.

EligibilityEdit

To be eligible to apply for a distillery license in the United States, one must typically meet the following requirements:
