- The applicant is unable to walk more than 200 feet without stopping to rest, or without the use of a walking aid such as a wheelchair, cane, brace, Zimmer frame, wheelchair, or another person.
- They have a heart ailment that the American Heart Association classifies as Class III or Class IV in terms of severity.
- An orthopaedic, arthritic, or neurological issue has reduced their mobility.
- They have a lung disease if their forced respiratory expiratory volume for one second is less than one litre, as assessed by spirometry, or if their arterial oxygen tension is less than 60 mm/hg on room air at rest.
- They will require the usage of a portable oxygen tank.
