Argentina - Obtain a Unique Tax Identification (Clave Unica de Identificacion Tributaria - CUIT)

- To obtain a Unique Tax Identification (Clave Unica de Identificacion Tributaria - CUIT) you will need to complete application form N° 460/F in duplicate.
- Submit the completed form together with all the required documents to the AFIP office that corresponds to your fiscal domicile.
- Register your biometric data (signature, photo, and eventually fingerprint). In addition, your identity document will be scanned. This information will be reflected in the system for a more secure identification, in order to avoid the use of apocryphal documentation and preserve your legal and patrimonial security.
- After registration, you will receive the duplicate F.460 / F with your CUIT number.
Required DocumentsEdit
Documentation that proves your identity:
- Native or naturalized Argentines and foreigners: original and photocopy of DNI, LC, LE.
- Foreigners without DNI: original and photocopy of the DNI of the country of origin.
- Foreigners with residence in the country -including temporary or transitory- who do not have DNI: original and photocopy of the passport or MERCOSUR certificate (if it is a bordering country), and of the certificate or voucher that proves the number of the file assigned by the National Migration Office, where the nature of your residence is recorded.
- For undivided Succession: You must submit form 460 / F, make sure you have completed the following fields:
- Mark "Data Modification"
- Record the CUIT of the deceased
- Paternal surname: Undivided estate of (consign the surname of the deceased)
- Indicate date of death.
The form must be signed by the succession administrator with a :
- Photocopy of the judicial testimony of the administrator's appointment.
- Photocopy of the deceased's death certificate.
If the latter has not complied with his registration obligation, the undivided succession will be discharged, depending on the filial data of the same.
In addition, the existence and veracity of the fiscal address denounced must be proven, by submitting at least 2 of the following documents:
- Certificate of address issued by police authority.
- Notarization certificate.
- Photocopy of a public service (utility) invoice in the name of the taxpayer or responsible party.
- Photocopy of the property title or lease or lease contract of the property whose domicile is reported.
- Photocopy of bank account statement or credit card statement, when the applicant is the owner of such services.
- Photocopy of the municipal authorization or equivalent municipal authorization, when the activity of the applicant is executed in properties that require it.
Documentation proving fiscal domicile - submit two of the following documents:
- Certificate of address issued by the police authority,
- Notarization certificate,
- Photocopy of a utility bill in your name,
- Photocopy of the property title or lease or lease contract, of the property whose domicile you are denouncing,
- Photocopy of your bank account statement or credit card statement, when you are the owner of such services,
- Photocopy of the municipal authorization or equivalent municipal authority, when your activity is executed in real estate that require it.
- In special cases, the AFIP may request and / or accept other documents or vouchers that, in its sole discretion, reliably prove the tax domicile that you denounce.
- The photocopies of the documentation must be signed and certified by public notary, for its exhibition. In its replacement, the originals may be exhibited.

- Applicant's personal information (Name, Date of birth, Type and No. of document).

The back part of the form must have your signature, certified by a bank, police authority or notary, except when you sign in the presence of an AFIP official at the time of filing.
