Argentina - Apply for Temporary Passport

- To apply for a temporary passport, applicants must personally submit their application at the nearest Argentine embassy.
- Before going to the embassy, check first if you will need to book an appointment first. You may use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get in touch with the nearest diplomatic representation of Argentina in the country you are currently staying.
- Some embassies requires applicants to send their documents via mail prior to their appointment date, so it is important to speak to an embassy staff first before applying.
- For embassies that requires temporary applicants to send their documents via mail: On your appointment date, once your application is approved you will be issued a temporary passport and all your documents returned to you.
Required DocumentsEdit
- Four (4) recent identical colour photographs, sized 4x4 cm or 1.5 x 1.5 inches, plain white background, full face, front view and open eyes, make sure photo presents full head from top of hair to shoulders (not include sunglasses or hats).
- Submit his DNI/L.E/L.C or Passport. For people under removal order, it is acceptable passport photocopies certified by the local Migration Authority.
- In cases of passport being lost, the applicant must accompany a police report of this loss.
- Certified cheque or money order payable to: "Consulate General of Argentina". Note: Contact the nearest diplomatic representation of Argentina in the country you are currently staying for the exact amount.
- For Argentine citizens under removal order, a formal letter of the Migration Authorities requesting the issuance of a temporary passport and indicating whether they are paying for the passport fee (and/or fees) as well.

EligibilityEdit
A temporary passport is issued to Argentine Citizens who do not have their DNI (green booklet) and for those who are under removal order by Migration Authorities.
FeesEdit
Explain the fees structure which is required for obtaining the certificate/document.
ValidityEdit
A temporary passport is valid only for 60 days from the date of issuance and to travel only to Argentina. It can be used only once and it is not valid for entering the United States of America or any other Country which requires tourist/transit visa for Argentine Passport Holders.
