ProcedureEdit

This procedure explains various ways to Register Business Name in Antipolo.

Apply Online

  1. Register the name of your business online by going through DTI's website. The entire registration process is done online.
  2. First you will need to click the link - Business Name Registration System (BNRS).
  3. After reading the Terms and Condition, click the “I Agree” button located at the lower right side of the page.
  4. Complete the owner’s information form and then click the “Next” button to go to the next step.
  5. A pop-up will appear containing all the information you have earlier provided. Confirm that the information displayed are correct by clicking the “Proceed” button.
  6. On the next page, you will be asked to identify the territorial scope of your business name registration: Barangay, City/Municipality, Regional, National (you only need to choose one). Do keep in mind that the fees for each level varies depending on the scope. So, if you would like to save money on registration fees, you will need to think about where exactly you will be putting up your office, store, shop, branch, or the physical structure of your business, and register your business name accordingly. Please, note that the scope does not limit where you can transact business. The registration only covers the use of the business name and not the operation of the business itself.
    1. Barangay Level: If you choose to register your business name on a barangay level, you will be asked to provide the name of the barangay, the city/municipality or province you are in and your region. You will also need to provide a dominant name for your business, a business name descriptor and the proposed business name. The business name registration is limited within your barangay, meaning there can only be one business with that name within your barangay.
    2. City/Municipality Level: You will be asked to provide the name of the city/municipality or province you are in and your region. You will also need to provide a dominant name for your business, a business name descriptor and the proposed business name. The business name registration is limited within your city or municipality, meaning there can only be one business with that name within your city or municipality, which naturally also includes your barangay.
    3. Regional Level: You will be asked to provide the name of the region you are in. You will also need to provide a dominant name for your business, a business name descriptor and the proposed business name. The business name registration is much wider on a regional level compare to the earlier mentioned ones. Meaning once you register your business name with this scope, you have exclusive rights to use the name within your region, which also covers all cities, municipalities, and barangays under it.
    4. National Level: You will be asked to provide a dominant name for your business, a business name descriptor and the proposed business name. No need to indicate your barangay, city/municipality or the region your business belongs to.
  7. Next, you will need to run a check to see if your chosen name is available. To do this, click the “Check Name Availability” button.
  8. A pop-up will appear containing your proposed name, confirm that it is indeed the name you chose for your business by clicking the “Validate Business Name” button.
  9. There are instances where a certain name has already been registered with DTI or DTI does not allowed a certain name to be registered. If this happens to you, run another name check using a different name, by typing in the new proposed business name and clicking the “Check Name Availability” button.
  10. If your new name search passed the validation conducted by the DTI you should be seeing all measures bearing the “PASSED” status. That means your chosen name may be registered.
  11. To move on to the next step, click the “Next” button located on the bottom right corner of the page.
  12. You will be shown a summary of your transaction and accompanying fees. If everything checks out, proceed to the next step by clicking the “Yes” button.
  13. A reference code will appear on the next page. If you can, take a screenshot of the page. The code is important because you will need this in all of your transactions. To move on to the next page, click the “Continue” button.
  14. Complete the business name registration application form. You will need to provide information regarding your business address, personal information, residential address, and other details like, capitalization and number of employees.
  15. After completing the application form click the “Next” button.
  16. Next, a series of accomplished forms will appear. Check if all the data shown are correct and valid, including the email address, before confirming your application. To confirm and proceed to the next step click the “Confirm and Proceed” button.
  17. The undertaking page will be shown. Signify conformity to the Undertaking by clicking “Proceed” button. You may also download the Undertaking for your files.
  18. The payment section will appear next. You may pay the application fee using these methods: Through a DTI Teller, GCash, PayMaya, Landbank Link.Biz, Credit/Debit Card). You must pay the registration fee within seven (7) calendar days from the date of application. Otherwise, the BN application will be deemed abandoned and subsequently nullified.
  19. After you have paid the application fee, the Certificate of Business Name Registration will be sent to your email.
