Procedure

1. Fill up the form.
2. Submit form along with all the required documents.
3. Once approved you will received a Certificate evidencing cancellation of mortgage.

To be able to cancel a mortgaged property you must be:

• The owner
• Authorized by the owner

Applications are filed at DNRN - Registrar of the Land Registry Luanda.

Need for the Document

A mortagage is a legal agreement where a loan is secured by real property. A mortgage note is issued which serves as evidence of existence of the loan. The agreement becomes void upon the payment of the debt and in the case where there is non payment by the debtor the said property will be foreclosed.
