Apply Online through CENTRAL VIGILANCE COMMISSION portal

  1. Please use the following link to file the complaint online Link
  2. In the given page, please scroll down and click on the “Lodge Complaint or Track Status” option to reach a new page.
  3. Here, please click on the “LODGE A COMPLAINT” section to reach a new page. Now, please select the applicable option from the dropdown list against the “Complaint Categories:” as appropriate to get two new buttons.
  4. Please click on the “Already Registered?” button to get the prompts for “Registered users login here”. Please enter the login credentials as appropriate. Enter the captcha at the prompted space as applicable and then click on the “Submit” button to log in.
  5. If the user is a new user, then please click on the “New User?” button to reach a new page.
  6. Please complete the page prompts as appropriate for “Login Details” and “Personal Details” as appropriate. Once the mandatory details are filled in, please enter the captcha at the prompted space as per the given image and then click on the “Submit” button to get a new page with the “You have Registered Successfully... Click Here To login” message. Please click on the “login” option to login page to log in.
  7. Once login. The user will reach the “Complaint Details” page.
  8. With the current date is already provided, please complete the other prompts as appropriate. Enter the details of allegations at the given space. Please upload the all the necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  9. The applicant shall make necessary payment as per online prompt if any. Please refer the “Fees” section of this page for more details.
  10. Finally click on the “Save & Submit” button and follow the on-screen information to submit the petition online and please save the system generated complaint number for future reference.
  11. Once a complaint is registered, further correspondence in the matter will not be entertained. However, the complaints will be investigated and action will be taken to its logical conclusion.
  12. The commission will make necessary enquire and investigation by following the standard protocol and necessary action will be taken within a period of one month.
  13. Once the investigation is completed, a report will be submitted within 3 months or the time period as per the department norms.
  14. The complainant shall make use of the complaint number to know the current status of the petition.

Apply In-Person

  1. The complainant shall approach the anti-corruption and vigilance unit office as appropriate.
  2. Contact Link AND Link1 AND the applicant shall visit the senior officers at the head office of anti-corruption bureau at Vijayawada to submit the complaint.
  3. Please visit the office and meet the concerned authority (Deputy Superintendent of Police or the designated authority) in the office to consult about the complaining process.
  4. If the organization and officials are under CVC’s jurisdiction, the applicant shall collect the complaint form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advice.
  5. Please complete the form with mandatory details. The complainant shall enclose the copy of necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. The applicants are advised to follow the guideline of the authority in providing the documents that are mandatory (including the applicant's ID proof or address proof, etc.). Please submit the complaint to the respective authority.
  7. The complaint will be accepted and a complaint number will be provided to the complainant as an acknowledgement. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  8. Once a complaint is registered, further correspondence in the matter will not be entertained. However, the complaints will be investigated and action will be taken to its logical conclusion.

Apply through post or Procedure of lodging complaint under PIDPIR

  1. A Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers Resolution (PIDPIR) also known as Whistle Blower Provision is a popular complaint lodging process. Through this process, the complaint can be lodged by post only.
  2. Contact Link AND Link1 Please use the contact details provided in the above links to get the exact postal address.
  3. Please write a complaint on a plain A4 sheet.
  4. Please enclose the complaint and other necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page in the envelope. Please mention the postal address clearly and affix applicable stamp on it.
  5. The envelope should be super-scribed “PIDPI” or “Whistle Blower”.
  6. Please post it. Once the mail is delivered to the department, the complaint will be accepted by the department If, the mentioned organization and officials are under CVC’s jurisdiction.
  7. Once the complaint is accepted, a complaint number will be provided to the complainant as per applicable mode. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  8. Once a complaint is registered, further correspondence in the matter will not be entertained. However, the complaints will be investigated and action will be taken to its logical conclusion.

  • While the complaint is sent through post under the “PIDPIR”, the personal detail should be separately given or given at the top or end of the letter. This will be helpful for the department to block out the complainant details.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any individual can submit a complaint.
  • Those who are 18 years and above are eligible to apply.



FeesEdit

  • Usually no fees required. But, the applicant shall get details on the fee information and other charges directly from the department office while applying.



ValidityEdit

  • There is no period-based validity. The action against the complaint registered is considered valid if the charges are proved.

Processing TimeEdit

  • From the date of receipt of the complaint, necessary action will be taken within a period of one month.

InstructionsEdit

  • The complainant shall affix their left thumb impression if illiterate. If literate, the complainant shall sign as appropriate.
  • A complainant shall keep his/her identity secret, by lodging the complaint under the Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers Resolution (PIDPIR) – popularly known as “Whistle Blower” Provision.
  • The complaint can be lodged only against the officials as per the categories of organizations listed below falling under the jurisdiction of CVC:
    • Central Government Ministries/Departments.
    • Central Government Public Sector Undertakings.
    • Nationalized Banks, Insurance Companies.
    • Autonomous organizations created through an Act of the Parliament or under the administrative control of Government of India, like All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Port Trusts and Delhi Development Authority etc.
    • Centrally administered territories including Delhi, Chandigarh, Daman and Diu, Puducherry etc.
    • Societies and local authorities owned or controlled by the Government of India.
  • Please don’t send a complaint through any Email ID of the officers of the commission, as it will not be entertained or taken cognizance of by the Commission.
  • Complaints that are marked as a copy to the commission will not be addressed.
  • Incomplete complaint will be rejected.
  • Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption department was established to contain the corruption and bribery to a great extent.
  • In order to prevent corruption and bribery in public service, the department expects the public co-operation. The co-operation is nothing but registering a complaint with the vigilance and anti-corruption department as and when they encounter any kind of issues. This will ensure a safe and clean society.
  • The department will investigate the complaints without any inequality or partiality.
  • The public are the direct victims of corruption and bribery. Without their cooperation, the department can’t prevent the corruption and bribery.

  • The department is particular about keeping the identity of the complainant secret, if the complainant desire so.
  • The government as a proactive measure has issued instructions to all the Heads of Departments to display the following message on the Notice Boards in all Government undertakings. "Bribery is against the law. The complaints about corruption may be sent to the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption".
