Andhra Pradesh - Raise request for Shifting Electric Transformer

This procedure explains various ways to raise a request for the shifting of the electric transformer.
Apply In-Person:
- To apply-in person, you have to submit your complaint registration form to the nearest Customer Service Center (CSC) -Link
- The complaint form can also be downloaded from the official website.
- Andhra Pradesh (East) - In the webpage, you can download the “Complaints Application Form” under the Generals section.-Link
- Andhra Pradesh (South) - In the webpage, you can download the “Application for registering metering, billing and other complaints” under the Description section.-Link
- The details to be filled in the complaint form are,
- Date of Complaint
- Complaint Reference No (To be given by the CSC Staff)
- Consumer No
- Name of the Consumer
- Name of the Complaint
- Full address of the Premises
- Communication Address
- Mobile Number
- Brief Description of the Complaint
- Any other information
- Supporting documentation (if any)
- Signature of the Complainant
- Along with the complaint form, you have to produce
- The consent letter for advance payment of shifting charges to be enclosed.
- The shifting charges will include the actual estimate plus 25% towards supervision charges by the officials.
- No objection letter (NOC) from the Panchayat/Municipality
- Make sure you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section.
- After submitting the application form, the respective officials from the electricity board will take a survey on the mentioned address.
- After the survey, the time estimation for shifting and if there is any extra charges for the shifting process would be informed to the consumer.
- After the entire payment, the shifting process will be completed in the given estimated time.
Apply through Online: - Raise request for Shifting Electric Transformer Online with Images
- You can raise a request for a shift of the electric transformer in the official APEPDCL and APSPDCL website.
- You have to select “Online Customer Service” option in the main webpage.
- In that page, you have to select “LT Consumer Services”, it will take you the “Online Registration for Consumer Services”.
- You have to enter details such as
- District
- Service Number
- Request Type(you have to select “Others” from the drop-down menu)
- Complaint Type (Select “Pole Shifting” from the drop-down menu)
- Compliant Details (Write the reasons for the shifting)
- Captcha(from the box)
- You will receive “Complaint ID” after the registration.
- You have to save these details for future verification and reference purposes.
- You can track your complaint in the “Complaint Status” option under the “Customers--˃Complaint Related Menu”.
Apply through 24/7 portal:
To raise a request for the shifting of the electric transformer, you can request through the customer care service, which works 24/7-365 days.
- The 24/7 Customer Care toll-free number is 1912.
- You can also mail your request to the 24/7 Customer Care Service.

- After your registration, you will get your “Complaint ID” to your registered mobile number/Email ID.
- You have to keep those details safe for future verification and reference purposes.
Apply through Mobile App:
- You can raise request for shifting the electric transformer through the “APEPCL” Mobile App.
- After downloading the application, you have to Login using the Email ID/Mobile Number and Password.
- If you are a new user, then you have to select the option “Sign-up” in the app. You have to sign-up using
- Name
- Mobile Number/Email ID
- Password and Confirm Password
- After creating the account, you have to login using the Mobile Number/Email ID and Password.
- You have to register your Service Number, Aadhar Number and Email Address in the “Registration” menu.
- In the “Customer Care” option, you have to select the “Lodge Compliant” option.
- In that menu, you have to enter details such as
- Mobile Number
- Address
- Complaint Type – You have to select the option “Transformer Related” from the drop-down menu
- Complaint Sub-Type
- Remarks (Write the reason for shifting in this section)
- After entering the details, select the “Submit” button to register your complaint, and you will receive a “Complaint ID”.
- You have to keep those details safe for future verification and reference purposes.
- You can track your complaint from the “CCC Complaint status” option under the “Customer Care” menu.
Required DocumentsEdit
For Apply-In Person, the details required are:
- Recently paid electricity bill(Shouldn’t have any arrears)
- Ownership documents such as
- Sale deed
- Allotment, Possession letter
- Municipal Tax receipt
- Gift deed
- Will deed or any other valid document
- An indemnity bond drawn by the owner
- DD for the estimated shifting charges
- No Objection certificate from Panchayat/Municipality
- Proof of Identity of the applicant such as
- Ration card
- Election Identity Card
- PAN card
- Aadhar card
- Passport
- Driving license
- Any other document(mentioned by the authorities)
For applying through Mobile App and 24/7 CSC:
- Consumer service number

EligibilityEdit
To request a shift in the transformer, the eligibility criteria are:
- You should have the Consumer Number, any valid Identity proof (Ex. Aadhar Card).
- You should be the resident or the owner of the land (leaser too) in the mentioned area for “shifting the electric transformer.”
FeesEdit
- The fee structure for the shifting of the electric transformer is given by the respective Electricity Board Officials after undertaking the survey for the mentioned location.
- The consumer should bear the cost of shifting the transformer/pole. The charges will include,
- Charges for dismantling at the old site
- Charges for transport from the old site to the new site
- Charges for re-erection at the new site
- Depreciation on retrievable old materials, if any, not reused at the site
- Cost of new materials, if required
- Cost of irretrievable materials
- Overhead charges.
- The evaluated fee should be paid in advance in the form of a Demand Draft to the APEPDCL and APSPDCL Electricity Board.

Processing TimeEdit
- The processing time is depended on the location, wiring, and power supply details of the particular transformer/pole that needs to be shifted.
- The authorities of the local Electricity board will take a survey and give the estimated processing time for the shifting.
