Andhra Pradesh - Online Apply Driver License

If an applicant knows the LLR number :

Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Driver License Required Documents

Step 2 : Please choose the following link which would take you to the home page of transport department of Andhra Pradesh.– Apply Online Link

Step 3 : Now you have to select “License” section and choose “Driving license(DL)” in the drop down menu. Please see the below image where it’s highlighted in “Orange”.

Step 4 : Now select “Fresh driving license” option from the given set of transactions and click “Next”. User can select multiple transactions at a time.

Step 5 : The following screen gives you the general instructions to apply for driving license. Here please hit “Click here to apply for driving license” to get the next screen. Please follow the following listed screen where option are highlighted appropriately.

Step 6 : Please enter “LLR number” and “Nationality” in the textbox highlighted in “Yellow”. If you are an Indian then select “Indian” from the drop down menu. Now enter the “Aadhar number” in the textbox highlighted in “Red”. If you are a foreigner then select “Foreigner” from the drop down menu. Now enter the “Passport number” in the textbox highlighted in “Red”. Finally click “Search” to get the new page.

Step 7 : This new page will prompt to enter details and also need to upload the required documents. Once completed, follow the screen instructions to process the application.

Step 8 : Please take printout of Acknowledgement.

Step 9 : Take printout of the application form including Acknowledgement and go to nearest RTO office before 11:30 a.m. and submit the application to the RTO official. Authorities will advise the fee amount to be paid. On the appropriate counter pay the fees and submit the application and documents to process the application as per the apply in person will be processed.

If an applicant forgot the LLR number:

Step 1 : If the LLR number is not known, then follow the first 5 steps of “If applicant knows the LLR number” section, then proceed with the steps given below .

Step 2 : Click “Forgot LLR No.” option which is pointed out by the RED arrow below the LLR number text box.

Step 3 : Now you can see the application status page as shown below. Please select “With application number” if you have the application number in hand. Then select the “service type” as “Driving license” from the drop down menu. Then enter “Application number” and “Date of Birth” in the given format as shown in the following screen. Finally click “Search” to proceed further.

Step 4 : If you don’t have an application number then select “Without application number” option. Then select the “service type” as “Driving license” from the drop down menu. Choose the “Search by” drop down menu and select any one option from the given list. Then you have “Mobile number” textbox which is highlighted in “yellow” as it is not a mandatory one. Finally click “Search” to proceed further.

Step 5 : This new page will prompt to enter details and also need to upload the required documents. Once completed, follow the screen instructions to process the application.
