Andhra Pradesh - Complaint Interruption or Failure in Power (Electricity) Supply

Apply In-Person:
- To lodge a complaint against interruption or failure in electricity supply a complaint shall be lodged at the Fuse off call centre of the particular area, or any centralised complaint centre of the Licensee.
- the licensee can refer to the addresses and locations of their particular circle through this link: Link Refer to the ‘Office Locations & Contacts’ section for more information.
- The licensee needs to provide few details like name, address, consumer number, and brief description of the complaint.
- The complaint can be lodged either in writing or over telephone.
- The operator on duty at the FOC centre will register the complaint and intimate a complaint number and restore power supply within the designated time period mentioned in the ‘Processing time’ section of this procedure.
- In the case of non-response or inadequate response by the Fuse off Call Centre / centralized complaint centre, the licensee may lodge complaint with the Section Officer in charge of the area.
- The complaint to the Section Officer should be made either in writing or by telephone.
- Section Officer should register the complaint and intimate the complaint No. in every case.
- The Section Officer should ensure rectification of the fault within the time stipulated above.
- In case of major failure involving transformers or 11 kV feeders including the terminal equipment or both, it should also be rectified within the period specified.
- In case the complaint is not rectified within the stipulated period, a complaint can be made to the Assistant Divisional Engineer (ADE) of the area in the format at Annexure-I.
- ADE shall acknowledge the complaint and take immediate action to restore the supply the same day.
- In case the complaint is not resolved within a day by the ADE, the consumer can complain to the officer of next higher level i.e., the Divisional Engineer/Operation (DE/O) (head of electricity supply division) who shall not only arrange for immediate restoration but also investigate into the delays caused in attending to the complaint.
Apply through Electricity Call Centers:
- The licensee of Andhra Pradesh can also register their complaints through the Electricity Call Centres that are setup to receive complaints round the clock.
- The licensees can complaint via telephone, email or fax. Telephone no. Is 1912 specifically for receiving power supply related issues or complaints.
- The registered complaints are then forwarded to the field personnel for timely rectification and action which is regularly tracked and updated.
- The licensee or customer can also track their registered complaint status by regularly contacting the electricity call centre personnel.
- The complaint is immediately taken care of and is resolved within the specified time period.
- In case the complaint is not resolved within specific time period, the complaint is escalated and forwarded to the notice of higher authorities for expediting the resolution procedure.

- The applicant has to click the “Register complaint” to start the application.
- The applicant has to Sign in with User ID and Password and enter Captcha for verification and Click “Submit”.
- Next the applicant has to enter their consumer details and select their type of complaint.
- After entering all the details review the application and click submit.
- There is no fee for registering complaint
- The authority will review the application and contact the applicant regarding the complaint.
- Then the authority will take action regarding the complaint within a week.
