Procedure

Apply through MeeSeva

1. The applicant shall use the following link for contact details of MeeSeva Link in the given page, please select “Useful Links” menu and choose the “Authorized Service Providers” sub option to reach a new page. Here, please click on the number under the “CSC CMS” against the respective district name for contact list.
2. The applicant shall visit the respective centre and collect the application form.
3. Applicant can also download the application form from the following Link
4. Fill the application form and attach all the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant shall submit the completed application with set of required documents along with the fees as applicable. The MeeSeva operator will do the online process.
6. The applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get transaction number as text message on his/her registered mobile number.
7. Please save it for future reference.
8. The online details will be processed by respective department.
9. Applicant shall use the application number and transaction id to know the current status of his application in the following Link for status please enter the application number as per the space provided and click “Go” button.
10. After processing, the document will be sealed and signed. The applicant shall get his or her document from MeeSeva centre by producing the acknowledgement.

Apply In-Person:

• The subdivision patta is mainly used for measuring the boundaries of the subdivided piece of land from the existing patta land. A subdivided patta landowner shall apply for the subdivision patta approval with the respective mandal office / tahsildar office within their jurisdiction where the property is situated.

1. Contact Link in the given page, select the respective district and zone to view the respective Tahsildar details.
2. Please visit the respective office and consult with the designated authority about the applying procedure.
3. The applicant shall collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
4. Please complete the application form. Attach the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the designated receiving authority as advised.
5. After receiving the application, authorities will check the submitted application and document. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
6. The applicant need to pay the processing fee and charges for the survey of land. Please pay the fees/charges as applicable as per acceptable mode and don’t forget to take the receipt.

8. The authorities will make entries about this application in the manual record or electronically using the computer. A record number will be given as acknowledgement for receipt of the application form. Please collect it and keep it safe for future reference.
9. The applicant will be informed about the next set of actions and the probable date or timeline for the survey of the land.
10. This application will be processed further. The concerned authority will verify the land details.
11. Once the details are verified, the application will be forwarded to the respective surveyor for further processing
12. The surveyor will process the application. If required, the surveyor will measure the land physically in the presence of the owner of the subdivided land and also the owners/representatives of the adjacent land on a scheduled date.
13. The surveyor will process the details and make required markings on the master map of land registry of that area.
14. Once the above steps are completed, a printout of the extract from the town survey land register will be sent to the respective sanctioning department.
15. Concerned sanctioning authority will approve the extract with seal and signature as per the format applicable.
16. The status will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS”.
17. Applicant shall revisit the office where they applied for this procedure to get the subdivision patta, or it will be delivered as per applicable norms.
18. The whole process can be completed within 15 to 20 days from the receipt of the application or as per the timeline provided by the department.

Note:

• Whenever a land with unique survey number (16 is the survey number) and patta gets subdivided, a new subdivision number will be provided for the subdivided registered piece of land. The new subdivided land will have the subdivided number like 16/2 or 16/2A etc.
• As and when a land / property get registered, an acknowledgement slip will be provided to the new land /property owner for the automatic transfer of the patta. This acknowledgement will have an application ID and it will be helpful to get the patta.
• Any patta land may be subdivided in view of sale of a portion of the land or due to the partition. Then the new piece of land subdivided will have a new patta number.

Eligibility

• When a patta land is subdivided in view of sales / settlement / partition / gift / exchange / release, then the new owner of the piece of the subdivided land is eligible to apply.
• The applicant should have the valid land details (survey number, plot number, etc.) to apply.
• Landowners are eligible to apply.
• Any individual, who is in need of such records, is eligible to apply.

Fees

• Please pay the processing fee, survey charges as per authority’s quote while applying offline.
• Stamp duty charges have to be paid as per requirement.

Validity

• The issued certificate is valid till the property is sold, mortgaged, subdivided etc.
• Based on sale, the new owner can avail this facility.

Processing Time

Instructions

• The subdivision patta issued is liable for cancellation without prior intimation if the department finds any false declaration by the applicant in the future.
• The property should be under the enjoyment of the applicant.
• The property should not be acquired under the Urban Land Ceiling Act.
• The property should not be acquired by the Government for any other purpose.
• Incomplete application will be rejected.
• Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.
