Apply In-Person:

  1. The application form to Apply for journalist health card is available in the Working Journalist Health Scheme (WJHS) Head Office link
  2. The applicant should make sure to carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the form and attach the photocopies of the documents that are needed along with the application form before submitting.
  4. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request. Fee related information can be found under the fee section of this page.
  5. Concerned authorities will look into the application form and submitted documents before providing an approval.
  6. Approval will be provided within 2-3 weeks.
  7. If the approval has not been given within 3 weeks, applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.


Apply Online

  1. The application for Journalist health card is available in the following link and click on Journalist Login.
  2. Journalist should contact respective DPRO (District Public Relations Officer) and share details to registration. DPRO will provide the applicant with username and password; they can login directly using their “User ID” and “Password”.
  3. The applicants have to register first by clicking on the “Registration->Add Journalist to Scheme” option.
  4. While registering, applicant has to provide all necessary information in the application form and finally click on “Submit” button.
  5. Once the registration is successful, the applicant has to click on “add basic details of accredited journalist” and then click “Upload details”.
  6. When the applicant click "upload details," a registration form page will appear.
  7. The applicant must provide all information necessary for application procedure online.
  8. The applicant should make sure to upload digital copies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
  9. Finally, the applicant has to click on “Submit Application” button.
  10. Fee for this procedure can be paid online. Fee related information can be found under the “fee” section of this page.

Fee Payment

  1. The applicant has to click “citizen Services->Receipts Link->PD challan” in the online payment website.
  2. The applicant has to type GAD and select the second option “Information & Public Relation Dept” in the “Department” drop down.
  3. The applicant has to type 7036 and select the second option “Information & Public Relation Dept” in the “Service” drop down and “submit”
  4. The applicant must provide all information necessary for application procedure online Payment and Select”e-payment”
  5. Select which bank the applicant can make the payment and it will be directed to bank website to finalize the payment.
  6. After getting approval from concerned authorities, subsidy will be provided within 2-3 weeks.
