A forestry license is a legal document or permit that grants individuals or organizations the authority to engage in specific activities related to forestry. Applicants can use the wood-based industries form for applying for the license

Apply In Person:

  1. To Apply for Forestry License, the applicant has to approach the state forest department link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or the applicant can download the application form from the following link Referto page no 7
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form and affix the passport-size photograph of the applicant.
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  11. If required, the department will conduct the physical inspection of the premises/area to make sure, that the said premises/area doesn’t fall under the restricted zone for issuance of the license.
  12. The department will also investigate to check whether the applicant was convicted or penalized in any Criminal/Forest offense case.
  13. Based on the above verification, inspection, and investigation, a report will be submitted to the respective sanctioning authority.
  14. Also, the application will be forwarded to the respective state-level committee.
  15. Once the state-level committee assesses the case, once the assessment is completed, the committee will provide their remarks (approval) to the sanctioning authority.
  16. Based on the outcome of the above report, recommendation, and other internal processing, the designated authority will grant the license with his/her seal and signature.
  17. The license will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying, or issued as per applicable norms.
  18. This entire process can be completed in 60 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.


Apply Online:

  1. To Apply for Forestry License, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link
  2. On the given page, please enter the login credentials as appropriate and hit the “Login” button to log in.
  3. If the applicant is a new user, then please use the “For New User Register here” option provide under the login section to reach the “User Registration” page.
  4. Please enter or select details as per the page prompt and click the “Save” button to get a popup message “Successfully registered to check your email for password”. Please click the “OK” button to close.
  5. Please use the login credentials to log in as stated above.
  6. Once login, the user will land on the dashboard page. Please select the “User Registration” section to get the “Registration of Wood-Based Industries” page.
  7. The applicant shall fill in the mandatory details as per the given prompt.
  8. Please attach the machine documents as applicable and upload the location sketch as appropriate.
  9. Please click the checkbox for the “Accept Terms and Conditions” option and then click the “Submit” button.
  10. A popup with a “You Agreed Terms & Conditions” message will be provided. Please click on the “OK” button to get another popup with the “Data Saved Successfully” message.
  11. Please click the “OK” button and save the acknowledgment receipt if provided.
  12. The online application will be processed by the respective department.
  13. The applicant shall check the status by logging in again and using the “Application Status” section.

EligibilityEdit

  • The applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant must be 18 years and above are eligible to apply.
  • A registered private limited company or a partnership company or a proprietorship company is eligible to apply for this procedure.
  • In the states other than Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim, wood-based industries shall ordinarily be not allowed to be established within ten kilometers aerial distance from the boundary of nearest notified forests and protected areas.
  • The applicant should not be convicted or penalized in any Criminal/Forest offense case.

  • Failure to comply with the prerequisites of the trade license can also result in the closure of a business.
  • There will be sudden checks by the civic agencies, forest department authorities, and fire and safety authorities.

  • Only a complete application will be accepted.
  • Avoid spelling mistakes while filling out the application form.
