Apply In-Person:
Through Municipal Corporation

1. To apply for septic tank or sewerage system cleaning service, applicant has to visit the Municipal Corporation of their area.
2. Visit the following link to know about the Municipal Corporations in Andhra Pradesh: List of Municipal Corporations in Andhra Pradesh
3. Applicant has to approach the concerned officer of UGD department in the “Engineering” division regulated under all the Municipal Corporation of Andhra Pradesh.

5. Obtain the relevant application form from the officer and fill the form with appropriate details.
6. While submitting the application form, make the partial payment for the service you have requested.
7. Respective officer will verify the details submitted and allocate the specific contractor and the schedule for cleaning the sewerage system or septic tank.

Through Private septic tank cleaning services

1. Applicant can approach the nearest septic tank cleaning services of their area.
2. Applicant has to provide all the necessary details to the private service provider.
3. Service provider will check for the availability of service to the applicant’s area.
4. Once there is availability, service provider will ask the applicant to pay the partial amount for the service.
5. After the payment, applicant will be informed about the schedule.
6. Once all the cleaning process gets completed, applicant has to pay the remaining amount to the service provider.

Note: Before approaching a cleaning services compare the fee amount and feedback with other cleaning services.

1. To avail the septic tank cleaning service through online, visit the following Municipal Administration Portal link
2. Click on the “Grievance” under “Online services” section in that page.
3. After selecting “Grievance” option, choose “Register your grievance” option.
4. Now you will be directed to a page where you have to select “District”, “Municipality / corporation” and the “Category”. Then click “Submit” tab.
5. Now you will be taken to the respective Municipality / Corporation’s “e-Gov Urban Portal” for grievance registration.
6. Enter the contact information and grievance information on that portal. Enter the grievance type as “UGD overflow”.
7. After entering all the mandatory details, click on “Register Grievance”.
8. Now your request will be submitted to the authorities.
9. Authorities will verify the details and allocate the specific contractor for the cleaning service.

• According to Manual Scavengers Act and their Rehabilitation Act 2013, any person who engages scavenging workers, either directly or indirectly, would be punishable with imprisonment upto two years or fine or both.
• Under the Act, protective equipment such as gumboots, gloves, masks, soap and a disinfectant like Dettol has to be given every month to the workers.
• If the workers, do not have these equipment, do not let them engage, call the contractor.
