Apply In-Person

  1. Ration Card holder should approach the ration shop of your area as applicable.
  2. Link for contact: link
  3. Please go to the respective office.
  4. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used or use the following link to download form link please use “Deletion of Member in Ration Card Application Form” or "Member Addition (In case of Birth) in Ration Card Form in" as appropriate under Civil Supplies.
  5. Please submit the completed application along with the required documents to the respective authority.
  6. Authorities after checking the submitted application along with the attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
  7. Keep it safe for future reference.
  8. This application will be forwarded to the concerned Ward/ Grama Panchayath official for verification. The concerned official visits the house of the applicant for verification and approves the request, if the applicant is found eligible.
  9. The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, Approval/Rejection of his application.
  10. After ground level verification ration card will be issued in 2 – 3 weeks as notified by the department

Through Meeseva

  1. To Add or Delete name in Ration card, the applicant can approach department of Consumer Affairs, Food & Civil Supplies Government of Andhra Pradesh Meeseva centre offices – link
  2. Select the “District” and “Block” option to find the address of the office in your area.
  3. The applicant has to collected the Application form from Meeseva center.
  4. The applicant has gone to the centre and obtain the application (please pay for form if required)
  5. Applicant has to submit the required documents along with a filled application form to the Meeseva operator.
  6. Meeseva operator will process the application.
  7. The received application will be processed online by the authority. Please follow as per authority’s guidelines in completing the requirements (bio metric, photo and authentication) to finish applying.
  8. On completion of online filing, application number will be given to applicant for future reference.
  9. Applicant will also receive transaction code in his registered mobile number that was registered while applying.
  10. This submitted application will be processed by the respective department.
  11. Applicant receives updates on the process.
  12. Once the process is successful, the issuance of ration card will take place in Smart Card format as notified as appropriate.

  • A valid ration card holder.
  • The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
  • The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
  • The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
  • New born above 5 years
  • Addition of member name after marriage
