- The deserving applicants are advised to open a bank account or use the existing account. Make sure to connect the bank account with the Aadhaar before applying online.
Apply Online
- Please use the following link to reach the “National Scholarship Portal” Link
- In the given page, please click on the “New Registration” option to reach a new page.
- Please click on the “Click here to Register for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students for AY 2022-23”(the year may change as per the academic year) option to reach the “Guidelines for Registration…” page.
- Please go through the guidelines. Please click the checkbox for all the declaration under “Undertaking By Applicant or Parents/Guardian(In Case of Minor)” and click the “Continue…” button at the bottom to reach the “Registration for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students for AY 2022-23” (the year may change as per the academic year) page.
- Here, please select the applicant’s state from the dropdown list under “State of Domicile”. Please select the applicable category from the dropdown list under “Scholarship Category”. Please complete the other prompts as appropriate.
- As the applicant reach the “Identification Detail” section, please select the applicable option as appropriate. Based on the selection, a set of declaration will be provided.
- Once the mandatory details are completed, please enter the given captcha at the prompted space as applicable. Please click on the checkbox for the applicable declaration and click on the “REGISTER” button.
- The applicant will be provided with the “STUDENT REGISTERED SUCCESSFULLY” pop-up. Please save the “STUDENT APPLICATION ID” provided for future reference.
- Please click on the “CONTINUE” button provided on the pop-up to reach the “Login for Fresh Application” page.
- Here, please enter the “Application Id” at the prompted space. Then enter the password at the prompted space as applicable (the first time password will be the date of birth provided while filling the registration form in the “DD/MM/YYYY” format). Enter the captcha at the given space as appropriate and click on the “Login” button.
- A “One Time Password(OTP)” pop-up window will be provided. An “OTP” will be sent to the registered mobile number. Please enter the received “OTP” at the prompted space and click on the “Confirm OTP” button to get the “Change Password” page.
- Here, the applicant shall change the password by following the prompts as appropriate and click the “Submit” button to reach the dashboard page.
- In the dashboard page, please click the “Application Form” option provided on the left part of the screen to get the online form page. Here, the applicant shall make note of the other options listed. The “Check Your Status” option will be helpful in getting the status update.
- Please complete the page prompts for sections including “General Information”, “Academic Details” and “Other Details” as appropriate. Once the mandatory details are filled, please click on the “Save & Continue” button at the bottom to get another page with a set of prompts to finish.
- Here, the applicant should complete the prompts for the “Contact Details” and “Scheme Details” sections. Once the appropriate scheme detail is selected, the “Upload Documents” section will get a new set of prompts to upload required documents.
- Please upload the documents as applicable using the prompts. If the scholarship amount is less than Rs.50,000, no need to upload any documents.
- Once the mandatory details are filled in and required documents are uploaded, please click on the “Download” option against “Bonafide student of Institution” to download the format.
- In the format, please paste the passport size photo of the student. Please fill the details as applicable and get the attestation from the institution as appropriate. Please scan the format and upload the same using the “Upload” button against the “Bonafide student of Institution” option.
- Once the above steps are complete, please click on the “FINAL SUBMIT” button to submit the application and at the same time the applicant will be provided with the filled in application form page. Please click on the “Print” button at the bottom to get it printed.
- The printout is the proof for applying online. Please keep this acknowledgement safe for future reference.
- With the printout of the filled application form in hand, please attach the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the institution where the student is enrolled.
- ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
- The applicants are advised to follow the notification and guideline of the institution to get the scholarship.
- The respective department will process the application to verify the applicant details at institution level and also at the district/state/ministry level as applicable.
- Based on the outcome, the beneficiary record will be created and also the account details will be verified.
- Once the above steps are concluded, the beneficiary will get the benefit based on the merit list. The scholarship will be disbursed as per department’s norms.

- In the given page, please click on the “Install” button to install the app.
- Once the installation is complete, please click on the “Open” button to reach the landing screen.
- Here, please click on the screen to reach a new screen. The user shall click on the “Fresh Registration” option to get a new screen.
- The applicant will be prompted to enter a valid mobile number. Please enter a valid mobile number at the prompted space as appropriate and click on the “SUBMIT” button to get an “OTP” in the mobile number. Please enter the received “OTP” at the prompted space as appropriate and click on the “VERIFY” button to get a new screen with prompts for the user to fill in.
- Please complete the screen prompts as appropriate. Once the mandatory details are filled, please click on the checkbox for all the declaration. Finally click on the “REGISTER” button to get a popup with a message “Student Registered successfully” and a student application id. Please click on the “CONTINUE” button to complete the registration process.
- The applicant may land on the login screen or the applicant may go back to the main page and click on the “Login” button to reach the login screen. Please enter the application id and date of birth as login credentials as appropriate and click on the “LOGIN” button to get an “OTP”.
- Please enter the received “OTP” at the prompted space as appropriate and click on the “CONFIRM OTP” button to get a “Change Password” popup. Please process the prompts as appropriate to change the password and then click on the “SUBMIT” button to get the login screen along with a message to confirm that the change of password was successful.
- Please complete the login prompts as appropriate and click on the “LOGIN” button to reach the dashboard screen.
- Please click on the “Application Form” button to reach the “Application Form” screen.
- Here, the applicant shall complete the prompts for “REGISTRATION DETAILS”, “ACADEMIC DETAILS”, “BASIC DETAILS”, “CONTACT DETAILS” And “SCHEME DETAILS” sections one by one and click on the “Save and next” button to reach the “UPLOAD DOCUMENTS” section.
- The applicant shall upload the applicable documents as appropriate. Please click on the “DOWNLOAD” button under “Bonafide student of Institution” part to download the form. Please print the form, fill it and get it authenticated by the institution and then scan it. Now, use the “UPLOAD” button to upload the document and click on the “FINAL SUBMIT” buttonto submit the application.
- The applicant shall follow the onscreen information to get the printout of the application form.
- The printout is the proof for applying online. Please keep this acknowledgement safe for future reference.
- With the printout of the filled application form in hand, please attach the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the institution where the student is enrolled.

EligibilityEdit
- The applicant must have secured minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the last annual board/class examination with a pass certificate (not applicable for students studying in 1st standard).
- The annual income of the students’ Parents/ Guardians from all sources should not exceed as mentioned below under each scheme
- Rs.1 Lakh for Pre Matric Scholarship.
- Rs.2 Lakh for Post Matric Scholarship.
- Rs.2.5 Lakh for Merit Cum Means / Top Class Scholarship.
- Students of home state studying in other states are also eligible to apply in home state.
- The grant of scholarships under each scheme are sanctioned only based on admission fees and tuition fees.
- Applicant should be a citizen of India.
- The applicant should fall under minority community.

- Students must submit their hardcopies of online application along with documents to their respective institutions.
- Do not submit invalid income and caste certificates.
