Procedure

Following are the ways through which you can apply for insecticide license in Andaman and Nicobar.

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for the new/renewal of insecticide license approach the District Magistrate in the Deputy Commissioner office of your district.
2. Download the relevant form from the following link : Form
3. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
4. Submit the form to the Deputy Commissioner office along with the required documents.
5. Refer the Deputy Commissioner Office location mentioned in the “Office location & contacts” section below.
6. After the application form is processed, an enquiry officer will make a thorough verification regarding your identity proof which you have submitted along with the form and some general investigations.
7. You will be receiving the acknowledgment slip after the successful verification.
8. A license with 2-year expiry period will be issued by the authority after verifying all the details submitted by the applicant.
9. Collect your license from the regional deputy commissioner’s office where you have applied after 2-3 weeks of submission.
10. After the expiry period, the applicant should follow the same procedure to renew the insecticide license.
    
    

Apply Online:

1. To apply for the insecticide license in Andaman and Nicobar Islands online, follow the link Link
2. Enter the username and password to log in if you are already a user. Otherwise, click on the "Create account" button and follow all the on-screen instructions for a new account.
3. On successful signing up, select the "Useful Service" option in the portal and then further click on the "Application for Grant of License to sell or distribute Insecticides" button as displayed on the screen.
4. An application form will open up on a new pop up screen.
5. Provide all the appropriate details in the prompted fields and click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
6. Ensure to attach the "Required Documents" required for processing the application before submitting it.
7. Upon successful submission, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement slip which shall be kept safe for future reference.
8. Upon successful completion of all the steps, verification and inspection by the concerned department authority will be conducted.
9. After verification, the authorising officer will issue the license.
10. The applicant may collect the Insecticide License from the concerned authority with the help of the acknowledgement slip.

Required Documents

Following are the list of documents that has to be enclosed along with the application form to get insecticide license

• List of products
• Principle Certificate issued by the dealer in Form-VI D.
• 2 recent passport size photographs
• Proof of Identity such as Electoral Photo Identity card / Islanders Identity Card / Passport / Local certificate.
• Family Identity Card.
• Description of place for the storage is carried out with sketch map.
• Description of place for where the sale depot would operate with sketch map.
• NOC of the tenant if the business is intended to be carried out on the land / building of the tenant other than the applicant.
• Recent copy of the Form F of the land record/s where from the business is intended to be operated i.e. Sale point and /or storage.
• Challan payable if approved-Rs.100/- per item (Rural) Rs. 500/- per item (Urban)

Fees

• Challan payable if approved-Rs.100/- per item (Rural) Rs. 500/- per item (Urban)

Validity

• License is valid only for two years from the date of issue

• Full name and address of the applicant.
• Name of insecticides
• Quantities handled during the past 2 years
• Places at which the trade was carried on
• Details about the nearest location where the insecticides will be stored and sold.
