Apply In-Person
- Ration Card holder should approach the ration office of your area OR department of civil supplies & consumer affairs office of the District/Sub-Division(C) as applicable.

- Please go to the respective office.
- Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used.
- Please submit the completed application along with the required documents to the respective authority.
- Authorities after checking the submitted application along with the attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
- Keep it safe for future reference.
- This application will be forwarded to the concerned Ward/ GramaPanchayath official for verification. The concerned official visits the house of the applicant for verification and approves the request, if the applicant is found eligible.
- The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, Approval/Rejection of his application.
- After ground level verification ration card will be issued in 2 – 3 weeks as notified by the department
- Note:
- If the application requires any scrutiny, respective authority will do the due diligence.
Apply through Centres
- To apply through centres, the applicant shall visit any nearby centres authorised by the Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs or get the application form from the authorised CSC/Tehsil centre. - The applicant is required to fill in all the details and submit the same to the regional CSC/Tehsil centre.
- Upon successful completion, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement slip which must be kept safe for the future.
- An inspector from the department will investigate the details and location of the applicant.
- On successful inspection, the ration card will be issued in 15-21 days.
- The applicant can collect the ration card from the office of the District food & Supply.
- Note:
- The applicant needs to carry all the original documents (including Ration Card) for the verification of the process.

- A valid ration card holder.
- The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
- The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
- The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
