Algeria - Obtain National Identity Card
ProcedureEdit
- You will need to submit your request to obtain a National Identity Card according to your place of residence.
- Complete an application form and submit it together with all other required documents. A link is provided under "Documents to Use" section which you can use to download the form.
- You will be asked to come back to collect your ID card. You will need to personally pick up your ID card.
If you are outside Algeria:
You may use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get in touch with the nearest Algerian embassy in the country you are currently staying. The office will process your request to obtain a National Identity Card. Check the embassy's website and see if you can download an application form online.
Once your application is processed, your presence at the consulate for collection of ID Card is required
Required DocumentsEdit
Applicants residing in Algeria:
- The filled form signed by the person concerned or by the legal guardian for minors
- Attachments:
- Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Algerian nationality, if you are requesting for the ID card for the first time
- Residence certificate
- Statement of work or school attendance certificate for students or school children
- Four (4 similar) recent passport-sized photographs (White background)
- The expired ID card or the declaration of loss or theft, in case of renewal or if you requesting a duplicate copy of your ID.
Applicants residing abroad:
- The filled form signed by the person concerned or by the legal guardian for minors
- Attachments:
- Birth Certificate
- Valid consular registration card
- Proof of your stay abroad
- Statement of work or school attendance certificate for students or school children
- Four (4 similar) recent passport-sized photographs (White background)
- The expired ID card or the declaration of loss or theft, in case of renewal or if you requesting a duplicate copy of your ID.
