Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Fire Permit or License in person, the applicant has to contact the Alberta local forest area office, nearest to their location.

  3. The applicant has to contact the office that is easily accessible from their location. The official may require the applicant to visit their office.
  4. While visiting the office, the applicants should carry the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Visit the office and approach the relevant official who is responsible of receiving applications for Fire Permit.
  6. The official will direct the applicant to complete the respective application for obtaining the Fire Permit.
  7. The applicant has to complete the application with required details in respective fields under each section and submit it to the official with the required documents.
  8. The service is free and the applicant is not required to pay anything for the Fire Permit.
  9. Then, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
  10. Upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect the Fire Permit.

  1. To apply for Fire Permit or License online, the applicant has to visit the following link Apply online
  2. The next page will contain three methods to sign-in into the portal. The applicant should choose one that is applicable to them.
  3. The applicant can choose any one method simply by clicking on it. Once clicked, each method will display its login page.
  4. The applicant can enter the login details in the fields provided and click the “Login” button, if they already have an account.
  5. If not, the applicant has to click on the applicable option to create a new account under the sign-in method.
  6. After creating an account by following the on screen instructions, the applicant can login into portal and proceed to the application process.
  7. Click the applicable option to get the online application form and complete the form by providing the required details in respective fields.
  8. The service is free and the applicant is not required to pay anything for the Fire Permit.
  9. Once completed filling the application, the applicant has to click the applicable option to submit the application.
  10. Then, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
  11. Upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect the Fire Permit.
