- To Obtain a Police Clearance Certificate, the applicant has to make an online process through the following link – link
- The applicant has to select the register (Regjistrohu) option at the right corner of the page.
- Enter the captcha button and click the “Vazhdo” button.
- Enter all the details for the registration process and click “Registeration” (Regjistrohu)
- After successful registration, the applicant has to select the “Qytetar”.
- Now the applicant has to enter the user ID and password and click the “Hyr”
- After successful login, choose the service “Certificate of Judicial Status (Criminal Proof)”
- Then click the “Use” button to get the electronic application form.
- Enter all the necessary details in the application form and click the “Send” button.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- The applicant has to visit the office to show the required documents.
- The necessary documents are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Also, pay the required amount of fee as per the authority’s request.
- After completing all the processes, the applicant gets the certificate from the office.
- This entire process can be completed within 15-20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
Applying in Albania
a. Apply In-Person
- Citizen must submit a copy of their Albanian ID card and non citizens must submit a copy of their valid Albanian Residence Permit.
- Police Clearance Certificate is issued by the Judicial Status Office (Tirana) Albania.
- Applicant shall apply in person with any post office in Albania.

- Applicant shall authorize representative to apply on their behalf at the respective post office in Albania to obtain PCC.

- Age: 16 years and above. In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority, if the minor has not turned 16 years.

Persons applying for the Police Clearance Certificate are required to submit a certificate from a public agency (embassy, immigration bureau, etc.) representing the country (or territory, etc.) of their destination.
Those who can apply for the Police Clearance Certificate must:
- have currently registered their residence in Albania; or
- had registered their last residence in Albania, and their registration has expired.
Applicants must be fingerprinted. All applicants are required to come in person.

A police certificate is an official document issued by police or government agency of a country to enumerate any criminal records that the applicant may or may not have. Criminal records may include arrest, conviction, and possibly criminal proceedings.
The Albanian police clearance �Certificate of the Judicial status� (Vertetim i Gjendjes Gjyqesore) consists of a criminal court certificate from the Ministry of Justice concerning any convictions.

Other uses of the Document/CertificateEdit
A �Police Clearance Certificate� is a document issued by the District Superintendent of Police to an applicant, which certifies the following:
- That the applicant is a citizen of Albania
- That the applicant is indeed the person whose photograph has been affixed on the PCC application form.
- That the applicant has not been involved in any criminal case and that there is no criminal case pending against him /her in the court of law as per district police records.
- That the applicant has not come to any adverse notice, which would render him/her ineligible for the grant of visa/immigration
A PCC is needed by all Indian citizens who apply for a visa for visiting/ emigrating to a foreign country. The PCC has to be produced before the concerned embassy/consulate alongwith the valid passport and other necessary documents. The PCC may also be needed by Albanian citizens living/working abroad who wish to apply for foreign citizenship or for permanent resident status in a foreign country.
