Step 1: Obtain paper pass

  1. To obtain 4th Grade Pass in Alabama, first the applicant needs to obtain a paper pass by visiting Every Kid Outdoors website and follow the instructions link
  2. Click “GET YOUR PASS” and Complete adventure diary and download the pass.


Note: Digital versions of the paper pass, such as on smart phones or tablets, will not be accepted to exchange for an Annual Fourth Grade Pass.


Step 2: Exchange of Paper pass for 4th grade pass

  1. After obtaining the paper pass, the applicant has to approach nearby Interagency Passes centre to exchange it link
    Note: The applicant selects the state and pass type to find the nearest centre by them.
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the authorized officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted)
  4. Make sure the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
  5. The applicant should attach the photocopies of the required documents while submitting.
  6. The fee for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  7. The authority will review the application form; upon successful completion the authority will issue the pass.
  8. The processing time of this procedure takes up to 1 to 2 weeks to get a hard copy of the pass in hand.

  • Copy of paper pass
  • Photocopy of documentation issued by Social Security Disability, Office of Veterans Affairs, and/or a licensed physician that demonstrates permanent disability.
  • Photocopy of documentation issued by an authorized U.S. agency that demonstrates U.S. citizenship or permanent residence (driver's license, passport, state-issued ID).

EligibilityEdit

  • US 4th graders, including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age, with a valid Every Kid Outdoors paper pass



FeesEdit

  • Free pass valid for the duration of the 4th grader's school year through the following summer (September-August)



ValidityEdit

  • The validity of 4th grade pass is for 7 years.
