Apply In Person:

  1. To Obtain Amusement Ride Inspector License, the applicant has to approach the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission link
  2. The department require a combination of education and experience to qualify for an amusement ride inspector license. Typically, a background in engineering, mechanical or electrical systems, or a related field is preferred.
  3. Some states may require a certain number of years of relevant work experience in the amusement ride industry.
  4. Look for training programs or courses that provide specialized education in amusement ride inspection and safety. Several organizations, such as the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (NAARSO) and the Amusement Industry Manufacturers and Suppliers International (AIMS), offer training programs and certifications for ride inspectors.
  5. Once you have met the education, experience, and training requirements.
  6. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  7. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  8. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  9. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  10. Submit the application form and the documents to the authorized officer.
  11. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  12. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  13. Then the application will be processed further.
  14. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  15. After obtaining your license, you may need to fulfill continuing education requirements to maintain your inspector status. This could involve attending workshops, conferences, or completing refresher courses to stay updated on the latest industry standards and regulations.
  16. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
