Apply In Person

  1. To Apply for Occupational Safety and Health Specialist License, the applicant has to approach the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety & Health Administration link

  1. Obtain a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental health, industrial hygiene, or a related discipline. Some positions may require a master's degree for more advanced roles.
  2. The applicant can check the course details from the following link link
  3. Many employers prefer candidates with practical experience in the field. Consider internships, co-op programs, or entry-level positions related to safety and health to gain hands-on experience.
  4. Upon completion of required courses, contact the OTI Education Centre to request an application form.
  5. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  6. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  7. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  8. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  9. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  10. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  11. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  12. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  13. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  14. If your application is approved, ensure that you follow all regulations and requirements specified in the license.
  15. This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
