Apply In-Person:

  1. The applicant has to reach out to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the application. Contact details are mentioned in “Office Locations & Contacts” of this page. Or Use the following Link
  2. An application form is also available at the following Link
  3. The applicant should make sure to carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
  4. Applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the form and attach the photocopies of the documents that are needed along with the application form before submitting.
  5. This application must show how the use of these materials will satisfy with the NRC's safety regulations.
  6. The type, form, and expected quantity of available facilities, as well as the qualifications of users and radiation protection procedures, must be provided by applicants.
  7. The application is reviewed by the NRC using the procedures and criteria outlined in our Standard Review Plans for these licensing applications.
  8. A licence is issued if the NRC approves the application.
  9. Certain requirements imposed by the NRC and agreed to by the licensee may be included in the licence.
  10. Applications for possession and usage are sent to the NRC's regional offices, whereas applications for consumer goods distribution are sent to the NRC's headquarters.
  11. The fee for this procedure has been mentioned under the “Fees” section of this page.
  12. Complying with this required collection request is estimated to take 4.3 hours per answer.
