Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form is available in the U.S. Consulate or Embassy contact link
2. The Application can be downloaded from the following Application form
3. Applicant should make sure to carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
4. Applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the form and attach the photocopies of the documents that are needed along with the application form before submitting.
5. The fee for this procedure has been mentioned under the “Fees” section of this page.
6. Concerned authorities will look into the application form and submitted documents before providing an approval.
7. Passport will be provided within 5-12 weeks.
8. If the passport has not been provided within 5-12 weeks, applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

1. Application is available in the following link
2. If the applicant is an existing user, they can login directly using their “User ID” and “Password”.
3. If the applicant is a new user, they have to register first by clicking on the “Register” option.
4. While registering, applicant has to provide all necessary information in the application form and finally click on “Register” button.
5. Once the registration is successful, applicant can login with their “User ID” and “Password”.
6. After logging in, applicant has to choose the service necessary for them.
7. Applicant must provide all information necessary for application procedure online.
8. Applicant should make sure to upload digital copies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
9. Finally, applicant has to click on “Submit” button.
10. The fee for this procedure has been mentioned under the “Fees” section of this page.
11. After application verification is completed from concerned authorities, passport will be shipping within 5-12 weeks through mail.

Apply by the Mail

2. Applicant need to make a print and as to fill-in the form.
3. Applicant should make sure to upload digital copies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the passport size photographs.
4. In an envelope, place the signed form, passport-size photo, previously issued passport, and procedure cost.
5. Mail the envelope to the appropriate office.
