1. To Apply for Security (Bouncer) Guard License, the applicant has to approach the U.S Department of Labour link
2. The applicant requires the completion of a certified security guard training program.
3. The training program covers topics such as legal responsibilities, emergency procedures, use of force, and public relations. Find an approved training provider in your state and complete the required training.
4. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. or it can be downloaded from the following link link
5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
6. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
8. The applicant has to pass a written examination to demonstrate his/her knowledge of security procedures, laws, and regulations. Schedule and successfully pass the examination as required by the licensing authority.
9. Submit the application form and the documents to the authorized officer.
10. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
11. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
12. Then the application will be processed further.
13. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
14. The applicant may be required to attend an interview or orientation session as part of the application process. Follow any instructions provided by the licensing authority in this regard.
15. Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive the security guard license from the licensing authority.
16. Ensure that you understand and follow any specific rules and regulations associated with your license.
17. This entire process can be completed within 2 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
