• If anyone shifts from one place to another place in view of transfer, Marriage, resettlement etc. they need to apply for a new ration card in their new place of residence.
  
  

Apply In-Person

1. As a first step obtain Surrender Certificate from the concerned ration office of the place from where the person was residing previously.
2. In order to transfer ration card, please apply with ration office of your new area OR the concerned office as advised by the ration office/shop of the new place where the applicant resides now.

4. Please go to the respective office.
5. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used.
6. Please submit the completed application form along with required documents to the respective authority.
7. On accepting your application, authority or clerk will check the details and issue a receipt as acknowledgement.
8. Please keep it safe for future reference,
9. This submitted application will be processed by the department, After ground level verification and physical inspection by the Supply Officer applicant gets notification.
10. If all the process are successful, applicant will get the ration card as per delivery mode (delivered through postal or on hand)

Apply through Meeseva

1. Please go to the respective Meeseva centre to apply.
2. Link for meeseva center. link Please select “Meeseva Centers” option on the left part of the screen and click “Authorized Service Provider” option. please select the number under TSTS session for respective contact details.
3. Applicant shall collect application form from the meeseva centre or download using the following link. form link please select “Application forms” option on the left part of the screen and choose “Civil Supplies” option from the displayed option and click “Food security Card Transfer application “ to download applicable form.
4. Please pay for the form as required.
5. Fill all the necessary information in the application as required and sign at appropriate place
6. Do not fill any wrong information otherwise meeseva operator/department will reject your application form.
7. Attach all documents, and submit the application form with prescribed fee. And do not forget to take an acknowledge slip from Meesevacenter.
8. This acknowledgement will have a application number and the same will be sent to your mobile. So, please keep it safe for future reference.
9. This submitted application will be processed by the department, After ground level verification and physical inspection by the Supply Officer applicant gets notification.

• For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Ration Card is being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card.
