Apply In-Person:

1. To convert a Foreign Private Pilot Licence (PPL), the applicant has to visit the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) contact link
2. Applicant must obtain the application form from the office and fill it up with all the necessary information in it.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure have been mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all the documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
6. The Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request along with the submission of the application form.
7. Once the fee is successfully paid, the applicant will be provided with a receipt of payment from the officer.
8. The applicant has to keep the receipt safely for future use and then, the processing time for this procedure will be mentioned by the concerned authorities.
9. An SMS or E-mail will be sent by the office to the applicant mentioning the availability of the document
10. After receiving the notification from the office, the applicant can visit the office to get the document.
11. If there is no information regarding the document is provided, the applicant has to visit the office to know the status of their application.

Apply Online:

1. Application for converting Foreign Private Pilot License (PPL) is available in the following link
2. If the applicant is a registered user, they can login directly using “Email Address” and “Password”.
3. If the applicant is a new user, they have to register first by clicking on “Register” option.
4. For new registration, the applicant must select the type of Client they are and then in the following portal, they have to provide all the information that is requested in the application form.
5. The applicant must insert their “Signature” and finally create a password and click on “Register” for completing new registration.
6. Applicant can login using their registered credentials right after successfully registering.
7. After logging in, the applicant must choose the “License” and below that choose “PPL License”.
8. Application form will be opened right after this process; the applicant has to provide all the information that is requested in the application form.
9. Applicant must upload digital copies of all the documents that are requested in the application form.
10. The Fee for this procedure can be paid online.
11. Finally, the applicant must click on “Submit” for submitting their application online.
12. If all these procedures are followed properly by the applicant, the license will be provided within a stipulated period of time.
13. If there is no information regarding the license that needs to be provided, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.
