- A person desirous of making a complaint about water quality in Tamil Nadu must visit the Pollution control office. Click on the following link to find the address of each district -link
- Write down the complaint in a detailed manner on white paper. Fill in your name, contact details, address and duration of issue. Attach documents or pictures of proof, if any.
- Submit the letter to the pollution control officer.
- The officer will issue a receipt for further reference.
- No fee is required for this procedure.
- The time limit for each complaint varies according to the credibility and importance of the complaint.
- The application status can now be checked online by clicking the “Complaint Status” option on the menu bar of the Pollution Board website: -link.
- On the new page, select the “Report Type” and “Complaint Type” and click “submit.” The application status will be revealed.
- The officials will notify if any steps were taken towards the complaint through a letter.

- A person desirous of making a complaint about the water quality in Tamil Nadu must visit the Pollution Control Board website -link.
- On the homepage, click on the “Click here” button next to “Complaint Registration.”
- A new page with instructions and details about complaint registration will appear. Read the instructions and click on the “Next/Next” button given below.
- On the next page, personal information is to be filled in. Fill in your name, contact details, and Address and click “Next/Next.”
- Click on the “Send OTP/Send One Time Password” button on the next page. Enter the OTP in the box and click “Next/Next.”
- Fill in every detail asked in the form. Select the type of pollution, District details, and type in the complaint in the given box.
- If there are pictures or documents available related to the complaint, upload the files by clicking the “Choose file” button.
- Once all the necessary details are filled in, and the documents are uploaded, click on the “Submit” button.
- An application number will be provided on the next screen. The application status can be tracked by clicking the “Complaint Status” option on the menu bar of the Pollution Board website: -link
- On the new page, select the “Report Type” and “Complaint Type” and click “Submit.” The application status will be revealed.
- The officials will notify if any steps were taken towards the complaint through a letter.
