Apply via Agent
Apply In-Person:
- To apply for Productive Incentives in person, the person has to visit the office of Industrial Development Corporation.
- The address and contact details of the IDC can be found in the following link: Link
- Visit the office of IDC and get the application form for Productive Incentives from the relevant department.
- Complete the form as required with relevant details. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
- After completing the application form, attach all the documents required for the process with the completed form.
- Then, proceed to submit the package at the CTCP desk in the office for further processes. Make the payment as necessary.
- After all the processes have got completed, the concerned authorities will proceed to make the arrangements for the enrolment process.
- The applicant can obtain any information regarding the progress of his/her request, from the office where the application has been made.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a registered legal entity in South Africa in terms of the Companies Act or the Close Corporations Act.
- The Applicant must, where applicable, be bargaining council compliant and must, in this regard, provide evidence of compliance.

Instructions
- You can use the full benefit as either an upgrade grant facility or an interest subsidy facility, or a combination of both.
- The applicant should demonstrate that the business is solvent, profitable and sustainable even without the grant.
- Should a company not currently be profitable the application should be supported by a detailed turnaround plan, to the CTCP Desk’s satisfaction, that demonstrate that the company will be profitable and sustainable going forward.
- Applicants that benefited from the programme in previous years should demonstrate the positive impact that the previous programme interventions had on the business’ financial position as well as operational measures against targets.

Need for the Document
The Production Incentive (PI) forms part of the overall Clothing and Textile Competitiveness Programme (CTCP) and flows from the implementation, by the Department of Trade and Industry (the DTIC), of customised sector programmes (CSPs) for the clothing, textiles, footwear, leather and leather goods industries.
