1. The applicant needs to visit the nearest sub registrars office or the tehsildar’s office.
2. The applicant will receive an application form.
3. Fill in all the relevant details, and attach all the required documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Submit the application form along with the documents.

1. To apply for a mortgage in Puducherry, the applicant has to visit the website of the Puducherry district.

4. You will be directed to another page.
5. If you have an account enter credentials.
6. If you do not follow these steps:
   • Click on “Create new account”.
   • Enter relevant details.
   • Enter captcha.
   • Click on “save”
   • A pop up will appear saying you have registered, and show your username, write this down.
   • Now click “Close” to go back to the login page.
   • Log in using credentials.
7. Once logged in, you will see the encumbrance certificate application form.
8. Enter details such as your name, flat number, phone number and so on.
9. Upload pictures of all the documents.
10. Now proceed to search, note down your application number.
11. Enter details in this application form too.
12. Once you enter all details, the application will be processed.
13. You will get timely updates through SMS.
14. Once approved you can download the application form.
