Nigeria - Get Nigerian Export Proceeds (NXP) Form

Apply In-Person:

  1. To get Nigerian Export Proceeds (NXP) form in person, the applicant has to visit the bank branch in which he/she has a domiciliary account.
  2. Some of the commercial banks and their links can be found in the following list of banks link
  3. Visit the respective bank and obtain the application form for Nigerian Export Proceeds (NXP) form from the relevant department.
  4. The bank issues the form in six copies. The applicant has to complete all the six copies and return them to the bank.
  5. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. While returning the application form, the applicant should endorse a contract of sale and pro-forma invoice with the forms.
  7. The bank will keep the original one for it and forward the balance five copies to the Inspection agents.
  8. The applicant should use the NXP number as reference for the application in further dealings.
  9. After that, the applicant will have to visit the Inspection agent’s office or its official website in order to complete a Request for Inspection form.
  10. On successful completion of the Inspection, the applicant will be issued with a Clean Certificate of Inspection.
  11. Then, the goods are moved to the port of shipment for Customs inspection and issuance of Single Goods Declaration (SDG) form.
  12. Once after all the necessary processes are over, the Terminal Operator presents to the Ship Agent, Loading list of the vessel.

  • It is important that the completed form must contain all the information required properly and the form must be filled legibly, in order to get accepted by the Authority.
  • Make sure that you attach all the required documents as specified by the authority to avoid rejections.
