Apply In-Person:

1. To change vehicle number plates (in case the colour faded), the applicant has to visit in-person any of the approved centers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
2. The locations for “Federal Road Safety Corps Centers” can be found in the “Office Locations & Contacts” of this page.
3. A List of approved centers by the FRSC can also be found in through the following Link.
4. Upon visiting the approved FRSC center , the applicant should obtain an application form for replacing the Motor Vehicle Personal Number Plate from the respective department.
5. The applicant should make sure that they have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
6. Complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections and attest the completed application form once completed.
7. The applicant should the proceed to make the payment for the application. The application fees are mentioned in the “Fees” Section of this page.
8. Once completed filling the application form, attach the required documents and payment receipt with it and submit it in-person to the concerned person at the office.
9. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
10. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the new number plate.
11. When the vehicle number plate is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a formal notification from the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.(Email, SMS or Phone Call).
12. The process usually takes a period of 7 days to complete.
