New Delhi - Apply to get Employee (Job) Verification


Procedure

In Delhi, an organization or individual can apply for a Police Clearance Certificate to verify an employee for recruitment.
Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for an Employee Verification or Police clearance certificate In-Person, get the specified form from the concerned police station in Delhi
  2. You could find the list of police stations from the link by selecting your district and in the new window select “Know Your Police” from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner. Delhi Police Stations
  3. The form can also be downloaded from the link: Application Form
  4. In the procured form, fill the required details of the employee.
  5. Provide the required information about the employer.
  6. Affix the passport size photograph of the employee in the space given.
  7. Attach Photocopy of Photo ID proofs of the employee.
  8. Duly sign the form and submit the form at the concerned Police station or District DCP Office.
  9. You could find the list of police stations from the link by selecting your district and in the new window select “Know Your Police” from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.
  10. Pay the required processing fee.
  11. Receive the acknowledgment receipt and keep it safe for further reference.
  12. Follow up to know the status of your report, and visit the Police Station to get the report once it is ready.

Note: Make sure you carry the original Id proofs with you for cross verification.

Apply Online

  1. To apply for a Police clearance certificate to verify your Employee, visit the link:Apply PCC
  2. If you are a new user, select register and enter your Email Id along with the validation code sent to your Email Id. Further enter your details and click on submit.
  3. Now login with your account.
  4. Fill in all the required details of the employer in the given window.
  5. Fill in the required details of the employee.
  6. Upload the scanned copies of the required documents in the specified file size and format (Check required documents section for further details).
  7. Check the details filled for any correction before you submit the form. Submitted forms cannot be altered.
  8. Pay the required processing fee for which you will receive a transaction receipt.
  9. After submission, you will receive your PCC registration number generated by the system.
  10. Your application will now be processed and the police will make verifications to create a Report.
  11. You could check the status of your application by selecting “PCC Confirmation/Status” from the same webpage.
  12. A digitally signed police clearance certificate will be sent to your registered E-mail Id after verification.

Note: Residents of Delhi NCR cannot apply for this online process. Please apply In-Person.



Required Documents

  • Passport size photo of the employee.
  • Any Proof of Residence of the employee:
  • Ration Card
  • Vote Card
  • Electricity Bill
  • Water Bill
  • Telephone Bill
  • Residence Certificate Issued By SDM/Teshildar
  • Any photo identity proof of the employee and the employer from the following:
  • Aadhaar card
  • Driving Licence
  • Ration card
  • Voter ID
  • PAN Card

Eligibility

  • Anyone from Delhi who wants to verify an employee.
  • The Employee should be 18 years and above.



Fees

  • Individual: Rs.250 + Bank Charges.
  • Organization: Rs.500 + Bank Charges.



Validity

  • It solely depends on the person/authority accepting the Verification Report.
  • The certificate stands null and void in case the employee indulges in any criminal activities.

  • Make sure you mention valid details while applying for the Verification.
  • Be available, if the applicant is asked to visit the police station for verification.

  • Detail of ID Proof of the Employee

  • Name, address, and Ph. No. of the previous employer
  • Date since when employed
  • Description of the employee such as height etc
  • Name and address of local relatives and friends

Need for the Document

  • While hiring a person, it is highly advisable to verify the antecedent of the person with the police before employing them.
  • This verification also helps you know if any criminal records were registered against the person hired and if he/she has a shady character.

  • When one applies for such verification, the police verifies the submitted information, and the employee’s details are stored with the police.
  • This protects the employee from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
  • Usually, in the event of a crime, the police would be left with zero information about the employee's details. However, the information gained through the employee registration process would help the police to track such crimes.
