Maharashtra - Apply for Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA)


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. Pregnant women must contact the ANMs / ASHAs / health workers in their area to receive information about the nearest government health facility where PMSMA services would be provided. Please click on the following link to view your nearest health centre providing the facility Contact Link
  2. When a beneficiary visits the government health facility designated to provide PMSMA services, the ANM / Staff nurse would register the pregnant woman coming to the PMSMA Centre and provide her a Mother and Child Protection Card and Safe Motherhood booklet.
  3. The Staff Nurse/ANM will also take the height and weight of the pregnant woman, check her pulse and BP and record the findings and send the mother to the laboratory for diagnostics.
  4. The report of the investigations would ideally be handed over within an hour and before the beneficiaries are meeting the doctors for further check-ups. This will ensure identification of High Risk status (like anemia, gestational diabetes, hypertension, infection etc.) at the time of examination and further advice.
  5. In certain cases, where additional investigations are required, beneficiaries will be advised to get those investigations done and share the report during next PMSMA or during her routine antenatal services (ANC) check - up visit.
  6. During PMSMA, 108 /102 /State owned ambulances/Private empanelled ambulances can also be used for referring those cases identified as high risk.
  7. Before leaving the facility every pregnant women to be counselled, may be individually or in groups, on nutrition, rest, safe sex, safety, birth preparedness, identification of danger signs, institutional delivery and Post - partum Family Planning ( PPFP ). Apply Online:

  1. To apply online, click on te given link:Link
  2. On the given page, click on the “Register Now” option under “Register Online” option.
  3. Now fill up the “Volunteer Registration” form as displayed correctly.
  4. Check the declaration box and click on “Submit”
  5. If you are already a user, click on the link Link
  6. Now provide the login credentials and click on “Submit”
  7. On opening a new page, choose the option as appropriate and proceed further as instructed.
  8. Make sure to provide “Required Documents”.
  9. On successful completion, the applicant will be notified.

Apply through Mobile APP:

  1. To apply through app, the applicant shall download the app from the playstore through the following

  1. Now click on “Volunteer Registration” tab and proceed further.
  2. A registration page will open up, fill it up correctly.
  3. Upload the necessary documents and proceed as asked on screen.
  4. Now click on “Submit” and complete the process.
  5. On successful completion, the applicant will receive the information on the app.
  6. Print receipt for future reference.
  7. The applicant will be notified by the concerned authority on verification.



Apply Through Centres:

  1. To apply for Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre/sewa kendra. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
  2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
  4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
  5. Submit the application form with “Required Documents” to the office. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  6. The operator will process the application online.
  7. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  8. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page and collect the receipt.
  9. An ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  10. Upon the satisfaction of the authorities, the permission will be granted according to the application.

Eligibility

The programme is available to all Pregnant Women who are in the 2nd & 3rd Trimesters of pregnancy.

Instructions

Filling out the MCP cards at these clinics is mandatory and a sticker indicating the condition and risk factor of the pregnant women will be added onto MCP card for each visit:

  • Green Sticker - for women with no risk factor detected
  • Red Sticker – for women with high risk pregnancy
  • Blue – for women with Pregnancy Induced Hypertension
  • Yellow – pregnancy with co-morbid conditions such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, STIs

With the objective to provide quality antenatal services (ANC) to every pregnant woman the Government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), a fixed day ANCs given every month across the country.



Information which might help

Timely detection of risk factor during pregnancy and childbirth can prevent deaths due to 5 preventable causes. This can only be possible if the complete range of the required services is accessed by the pregnant women.



Other uses of the Document/Certificate
