Ladakh - Obtain Land Mortgage Certificate (Coletral)


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Obtain Land Mortgage Certificate (Coletral), the applicant has to approach the Sub – registration office in Ladakh - link
  2. The applicant has to get the form from the authority by visiting the office.
  3. Fill in necessary details such as name, buyers, sellers etc.
  4. All the necessary documents which needs to attach with the form are listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Attach the document sot the application form and submit it to the relevant authorities.
  6. Pay the fee as per the authority’s request.
  7. Upon submission, the applicant will receive a receipt as well as an application number, the applicant can use it to track the status of your application.
  8. The applicant as to visit the office to get the certificate.
  9. The processing time for this procedure is within 15 – 20 days.

  • For Encumbrance certificate-
  • Application form (can be obtained from respective office)
  • Period for which the EC is required
  • Address proof of applicant (attested copy)
  • Property address. survey number, document/patta number
  • The purpose for which the EC is applied for
  • Copy of sale deed of the said property.
  • Copy of Power of Attorney
  • Aadhar card
  • Property card
  • For Land valuation certificate-
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Proof of Land Tax
  • Copy of Encumbrance certificate.
  • Proof of ownership of property.
  • Voters ID

Eligibility

  • The applicant must legally own land in Ladakh.
  • There must not be any ongoing land disputes.
