Apply in person When contacting any government office or authority to find your National ID number, be prepared to provide personal identification information, such as your full name, date of birth, and any other relevant details that can help verify your identity.

1. Check Your Kenyan Government issued documents: The identity number is printed on all of your national identification documents, such as your ID-card, passport, driving license, business permits etc. It is usually either next to or below your name or your birth date. Look for a number with 11 digits containing your birthday in a year-month-date or date-month-year format.
2. Visit a Huduma Centre: Huduma Centres are government service centers located throughout Kenya. You can visit the nearest Huduma Centre with your original identification documents, such as your birth certificate or other official identification, and inquire about your National ID number. They should be able to assist you in finding it.
3. Visit the Kenya National Registration Bureau (NRB) office: You can reach out to the Kenyan National Registration Bureau (NRB) offices at the chief’s office in your area or sub-location.
